Honoring and Remembering this Memorial Day Weekend 🇺🇸

We are taking a moment to remember the brave men and women who have served our country. We hope everyone has a meaningful and peaceful long weekend with their loved ones.

As we look towards the final stretch of the school year, please note the following schedule changes:
•Monday, May 25, 2026: No School (Memorial Day observed) 🚫🏫
•Tuesday, May 26, 2026: Last Day of School for the 2025-2026 academic year! 🔔
•Dismissal Time: All students will be dismissed at 11:50 AM on Tuesday. Please ensure arrangements are made for timely pickup.

Parents and families, you are invited to celebrate an amazing school year with our students! Join us for a day full of delicious food, fun games, music, and the best beach vibes. 🍉🎯🎶

📅 When: Thursday, May 21, 2026
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Where: Brown Elementary School

🩳 What to wear: Come dressed in your best school-appropriate beach attire! (Please wear swimsuits under regular clothing. District dress code still applies!)

🎒 What to bring: Your beach towel, a change of clothes, sunscreen, and your best summer spirit!

🌟 Better late than never to celebrate our absolute favorites! 🌟

Even though the official news dropped back in April, we couldn’t let May slip by without giving a massive, well-deserved shoutout to our amazing PTA Mom and Dad, Mr. & Mrs. Haymore, for being named Volunteers of the Year! 🏆✨

Due to impending severe weather today, April 27, all HSD Schools will be dismissing two hours early. Brown will dismiss at 1:50 PM.

🚫 No PM Early Childhood classes
🚫 No after-school activities

We are so incredibly proud of the focus and effort our students are already showing! Since we will be testing for the remainder of April, we want to keep this amazing momentum going.

As students head into their classrooms today, parents remind them of these positive test-taking skills:
✅ Take your time.
✅ Read every question more than once.
✅ Don’t get stuck! Flag a question and come back to it.
✅ Always do your best!

Let’s keep our students fueled, rested, and ready to soar for the rest of April. Parents, remember that the bell rings at 8:50 AM sharp—let’s make sure those kiddos are in their seats and ready to show off everything they’ve learned this year!
