It was an honor to speak at the Columbia Rotary Club today about Protecting Children in a Digital World and how we, as community leaders and Rotarians, can help identify and report human trafficking and online predators.

I truly appreciated the warm welcome from my fellow Rotarians. They asked thoughtful questions and were eager to learn more about how they can help educate and protect children and families in the communities where they live and serve.

We are always grateful for opportunities to share this important message and to connect with others who have a heart for protecting children.

Together, through education, awareness, and action, we can make a difference—one child at a time. 💙

Today, One Child At A Time had the privilege of presenting two 411 at 305 sessions with the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce, focusing on the dangers our children are facing in today’s digital world.

From social media and online grooming to sextortion and exploitation, the threats facing our children continue to evolve. Education and awareness are critical pieces of prevention.

A special thank you to Murphy Monk for putting these sessions together and recognizing the importance of bringing this conversation to our community. We are also grateful to the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce for providing the opportunity to educate, raise awareness, and work together to help keep our children safe.

Prevention starts with awareness. 💙

It was an honor to spend today in Myrtle Beach training a new group of Rotarians Against Trafficking Humans (RATH) Ambassadors. These dedicated Rotarians are expanding the fight against human trafficking by raising awareness and educating their communities across the Grand Strand.

We were also grateful for the opportunity to speak to the Myrtle Beach Rotary Club about the work of One Child At A Time and how we are combating human trafficking throughout the P*e Dee Region through prevention, education, community partnerships, and victim-centered advocacy.

A special thank you to Pauline Levesque, Mary Gasque, and Matt Sedota for organizing this training and for your commitment to educating and equipping our newest RATH Ambassadors. Your leadership and dedication are helping build a stronger network of advocates across our communities.

Every trained ambassador represents another voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. Together, we are building safer communities and protecting children…one child at a time.

Thank you, Myrtle Beach Rotary, for your warm hospitality and for living out Rotary's motto of Service Above Self by standing with us in the fight against human trafficking. 💙

💙 Wear Blue Tomorrow – July 30 💙

Tomorrow is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.

This year's United Nations theme, "Trapped Behind the Scam," shines a light on a growing form of human trafficking that is often hidden from public view. Across the world, transnational organized crime groups are exploiting thousands of people by forcing them to participate in large-scale online scams and financial fraud operations. Victims are trafficked, controlled, and exploited through forced criminality, where human trafficking, cybercrime, financial fraud, money laundering, and corruption intersect.

By wearing blue, you are helping raise awareness that human trafficking does not always look the way people expect. It can happen online, across borders, and through deception and coercion.

💙 Wear blue.
