This evening, we had the pleasure of speaking with parents at Carolina Elementary School! Our presentation, A Parent’s Guide to Social Media, shared practical tools to help families recognize online risks, start conversations, and protect their children from online predators.

Is Sexting Harmful?

Teens who take, receive, or forward sexting images may face embarrassment if leaked. These images are also used to manipulate and harm teens. Bullying and harassment can occur from peers who judge. The biggest danger is their digital footprint. Sending photos or receiving them can lead to future consequences and in worst cases, legal consequences being and being charged for possession or forwarding of nudes.

It was an honor to speak at the Columbia Rotary Club today about Protecting Children in a Digital World and how we, as community leaders and Rotarians, can help identify and report human trafficking and online predators.

I truly appreciated the warm welcome from my fellow Rotarians. They asked thoughtful questions and were eager to learn more about how they can help educate and protect children and families in the communities where they live and serve.

We are always grateful for opportunities to share this important message and to connect with others who have a heart for protecting children.

Together, through education, awareness, and action, we can make a difference—one child at a time. 💙

Today, One Child At A Time had the honor of presenting to 65 service members and personnel from South Carolina and North Carolina in Greenville, SC, with the Governor’s Counterdrug Task Force (CDTF).

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to provide education and awareness about human trafficking, online exploitation, and the dangers facing our children in the digital world.

A special thank you to 1SG Fidel Byrd, Governor’s Counterdrug Task Force, CD Training NCO/B CO 4/118th 1SG, for the invitation and for making today’s training possible.

It is truly an honor to share our mission with those who dedicate themselves to protecting and serving our communities.

Today, One Child At A Time had the privilege of presenting two 411 at 305 sessions with the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce, focusing on the dangers our children are facing in today’s digital world.

From social media and online grooming to sextortion and exploitation, the threats facing our children continue to evolve. Education and awareness are critical pieces of prevention.

A special thank you to Murphy Monk for putting these sessions together and recognizing the importance of bringing this conversation to our community. We are also grateful to the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce for providing the opportunity to educate, raise awareness, and work together to help keep our children safe.

Prevention starts with awareness. 💙
