A Place at the Table.

Recently, we hosted two small events based on this theme.

The high school lunchroom table is a powerful metaphor for inclusion.

And exclusion.

Chances are you - like I - have been on both sides of that equation at some point in life.

We asked supporters and some new friends to the ministry to make room at their "tables" for the brave women we serve. We also asked those same supporters and new friends to join us at our table of fellowship and partnership, believing God together that His purposes might be accomplished in our community.

I extended the invitations, but our graduates brought power we were blessed to experience! If you are a supporter of Tenacious Grace, thank you for taking your place at the table. You are so valued! 🩵

We LOVE being a part of the nonprofit community in our city, and we believe in the healing properties of serving!

We’re so thankful for some of the team from Tenacious Grace for spending the day volunteering at the Foster Care Clothing Closet!

They jumped right in, worked hard, and helped us accomplish so much. We’re incredibly grateful for their servant hearts and willingness to give back.

Tenacious Grace operates Five Sparrows, a residential recovery program for justice-involved women who are overcoming trauma, addiction, and hardship. As part of their journey, residents serve through volunteer opportunities in the community, and we were honored to be one of them.

Thank you for the work you do and for making a difference alongside us!

Opioid Overdoses are decreasing in South Carolina in large part due to the availability of Narcan nasal spray, an opioid antagonist, meaning it attaches to opioid receptors in the brain, displaces opioid molecules (like fentanyl, he**in, or oxycodone), and blocks them from binding again. By doing this, it reverses the severe respiratory depression that causes overdose deaths, typically restoring normal breathing within 2 to 3 minutes.

Circle Park will be conducting a Narcan training at the Tenacious Grace office (1413 W. Evans St), tomorrow (4/22) at 1:30. We have about 10 spots available if your would like to join us. The training will take about 45 minutes, and you can call Rhonda Altman (843-407-4351) or email her ([email protected]), to let her know you would like to attend. After attending, you will be given your own supply of Narcan to keep.
