Urgent Volunteers Needed!

We are urgently looking for volunteers to help keep the Fresh Start Shower Ministry open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM.

The Fresh Start Shower Ministry provides free showers, laundry services, and a welcoming place for our unhoused and underserved neighbors. In order to continue offering these services on Thursdays and Fridays, we need more volunteers.

Effective this week without additional volunteer support, we may have to close the ministry on Thursdays and Fridays until we have enough volunteers to safely serve our guests.

Whether you can serve every week, every other week, or even occasionally, your time can make a difference and help us keep our doors open.
We need you!

If you are interested in volunteering or would like to learn more, please contact the church office at

859-647-5000 ext. 500 or Sam Combs at ext. 401.

Help us keep FSSM open and serving our neighbors!

Are you looking for a place to volunteer where you can make a difference?

The Fresh Start Shower Ministry is looking for dedicated volunteers to help at our Laundry Table!

This role is simple, but it makes a BIG difference for the guests we serve.

What will you do?

🧺 Receive a guest's laundry and label their assigned bag.

🫧 Wash and dry their clothing.

👕 Fold the clean laundry, return it to the correct bag, and place it in the designated area for next day pickup.

🤝 When a guest returns, verify their name and make sure they receive the correct bag.

Then, we do it all again for the next guest!

Every bag of laundry represents a neighbor who leaves with fresh, clean clothing—and a little more dignity and care than they came in with.
