As we closed out our fiscal year, we had the opportunity to recognize several incredible members of our Board of Directors for their leadership, dedication, and service.

We also celebrated those who completed their three-year terms in leadership. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and heart each of these individuals has given to further our mission and serve our community.

👏 Thank you, QVC, for another fantastic day of service at the Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity ReStore!

On July 8, a team of eight QVC employees rolled up their sleeves and spent the day volunteering in the ReStore. Before getting to work, they participated in a volunteer orientation led by our Volunteer Director, Kristin Johnson, where they learned more about Habitat’s mission and the vital role the ReStore plays in building safe, affordable housing in our community.

We’re incredibly grateful for partners like QVC, whose continued support helps us spread awareness of our mission while making a real impact here in the P*e Dee. Their commitment to giving back strengthens our community and helps make homeownership possible for local families.

🏡 Welcome to the Habitat family, Amber and Brielle Brown! ❤️

We are excited to announce that Amber and her daughter, Brielle, have been selected as Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity’s newest Partner Family.

This marks the beginning of an incredible journey as Amber partners with Habitat to become a first-time homeowner. Through hard work, homeownership education, and “sweat equity,” she’ll work alongside volunteers and supporters to help build not only her future home, but hope for her family’s future.

At Habitat for Humanity, we believe in providing a hand up, not a handout. Every Habitat homeowner invests their time, commitment, and determination to make the dream of affordable homeownership a reality.

We’re honored and grateful to share that Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity has been awarded a $2,500 Community Grant from the Rotary Club of Florence!

The Rotary Club recognized our commitment to serving families in need throughout the Florence community, noting that our mission reflects Rotary’s guiding principle of “Service Above Self.”

Executive Director Debbie Edwards accepted the grant during the Rotary Club meeting on June 22.
