We need volunteers in Clay County areas of Flora, Xenia and Clay City.
We are in need of Community Advocates who can contact caretakers of feral/ stray cat colonies, give an approximate count of cats in that area, help set traps, transport to spay clinic, (for the elderly who can not), report back to Clip and Tip Strays on information gathered etc. if you are interested in helping C.A.T.S. Our first bake sale fundraiser! And thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised $438 to help stray and homeless cats in Clay County.

A huge thank you goes out to our wonderful bakers who donated their time and supplies in whipping up some delicious goodies: Belinda Rueter, Olivia Rueter, Cat Osterholtz, Nichole Kucharzyk, Marcita Hinkle, Jocko Hinkle, Joyce Robey, Caity Klanke, and Nicola Wattles.

Congratulations also to Jocko Hinkle, winner of our raffle basket — and thank you for staying afterward to help us pack up and close down the event.

Most of all, thank you to every person who stopped by to support us by purchasing baked goods, raffle tickets and other items, donating, or simply chatting with us. We truly enjoyed visiting with everyone throughout the day. Every item purchased will change the lives of cats through life-saving spay and neuter surgeries at our monthly low-cost clinic.

Sweet, sassy, and made for cat lovers! 🐾 We’ll be selling these adorable cat-themed keychains for $5 each at our upcoming bake sale fundraiser -- tomorrow, Saturday, May 23rd, 8:00 - 1:00, at the Country Closet Parking Lot in Flora. These are only a few of the many designs we’ll have available — each one full of personality and perfect for your keys, purse, or gift giving. Best of all, every dollar raised helps fund spay and neuter surgeries for stray and community cats across Clay County. Stop by, grab a sweet treat and a cute keychain, and help us make a lifesaving difference for local cats!

Thank you to Nancy Yingst of Atlanta, Georgia, for sending us this medium two-door carrier. Even though Nancy lives several states away, her hometown roots are strong.

She shares the same heart for pets in need like her momma Margie Yingst who feeds and helps pay towards sterilizing cats on her street on East Scudamore in Flora.

Nancy's donated carrier will help us transport stray and community cats from that colony safely to their spay & neuter appointments at our monthly low-cost clinic. Thank you, Nancy 😽

BAKE SALE, SATURDAY, MAY 23rd!

Calling all sweet tooths and animal lovers! 🍪🐾

Our very first fundraiser is happening this Saturday, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm (or until the goodies are gone) in the Country Closet parking lot.

We’ll have a delicious variety of homemade baked goodies including sugar cookies, spice cookies, cupcakes, pumpkin bread, banana chocolate bread, white chocolate Chex mix, pineapple upside-down cake, and more. And because we love our four-legged friends too, our volunteers are baking up healthy dog treats for your pups! 🐶

We’ll also have adorable cat-themed keychains available for purchase.

Every dollar raised helps fund spay and neuter surgeries for stray, feral and community cats in Clay County, preventing future suffering and reducing homeless cat populations right here in our area. Our fundraising efforts help caretakers of feral colonies get reduced rates and support our common mission to reduce the homeless unwanted cat population in Clay County.

Thank you to Christina Smith of Louisville for donating these Fancy Feast premium canned foods to help our TNR efforts! 🐾❤️

These tasty meals will help us safely entice stray and feral kitties into humane traps for their spay/neuter appointments — and will also provide comforting nourishment during their post-surgery recovery.
