The Pet Adoption League is a non-profit (501c3), completely volunteer animal rescue organization that was established December 1937 and incorporated January 1958. PAL services t
he Northwest NJ area. We are not a shelter, but a no-kill rescue group. We always have a variety of cats and kittens in our care, most of which were rescued from dangerous situations within NJ. We also assist pet owners in finding homes for pets they can no longer keep. We find homes for all our adoptable animals - no matter how long it takes! Because we are shelter-less, cats are in foster homes. Our cats receive all their necessary vaccinations, are tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, wormed and are spayed/neutered. All animals that come to us with injuries or illnesses are treated before they are available for adoption. We guarantee to take back any of our animals if the adoption does not work out, or, if the adopter can no longer care for the animal at any time during the animals life span. Every dollar we take in benefits our animals in some way. The bulk of donations made to PAL go towards veterinary care, food and other necessities. When a pet is adopted out through PAL, we ask for a donation, which doesn't come close to offset the veterinary costs and care for the animals. To raise money, we rely upon private donations and fundraisers. We appreciate your support!
