Precious Arzuaga is expected to plead guilty to all of the charges against her for Sam Nordquist’s brutal death in February 2025, according to Nordquist’s family.

The charges include first-degree murder, torture and kidnapping. She’s also been charged with endangering the welfare of a child for forcing her two young children to participate in the abuse of Nordquist.

A quiet trans man, Robert Allen (1914-1997) was never the type to make headlines. However, his 1957 marriage was front-page news. He transitioned in 1943 and was among the first in the UK allowed to legally change s*x.

Allen published his autobiography in 1954, “But for the Grace: The True Story of a Dual Existence.” There is contradictory reporting on Robert – if he was inters*x or simply found a sympathetic doctor. Regardless, he lived a long, happy life and shouldn’t be forgotten. I restored and colorized these photos to celebrate his life.

Athlete Mark Weston (1905-1978) transitioned in 1936. He was one of the world’s top athletes and Britain’s number one “women’s” shotputter for six years. Unlike today, nearly all journalists immediately respected Mark’s pronouns and celebrated his transition as a medical breakthrough. I colorized some photos of him (here with his wife and sister) to celebrate 90 years since his transition. Mark's brother Harry was incredibly supportive and also trans.
