MINUTES FMSA General Meeting
Thursday, July 30, 2026 - 6pm

- Introductions of all attendees

- New board member introductions: Laura Harris, Amy Wilson, Melodie Mollet - Welcome! We are so happy to have you!

- The City of Festus is moving forward on their 4-phase project for the city. The back parking lot was Phase #1 which was completed. Phase #2 will be streets & sidewalks on Festus Main Street. ETA of this project is 2030 and there will be meetings to welcome the community to learn more in the future

- Tommy Vogel is finalizing plans to complete the string lights across Festus Main Street

- Upcoming Events:
10/10 - Streetfest, along with Bottleneck Bridge Ride
11/7 - Ladies Night on Main Street from 2-8pm
11/28 - Stocking Stroll on Main Street
12/12 - Reindeer Ramble on Main Street

- Come join our Events Planning Meeting on the first Thursday of the month at Common Ground 8am - all are welcome if you'd like to help with upcoming events

- Festus Farmers Market is thriving! In addition to Saturdays from 8am - Noon, there is now a Wednesday afternoon/evening market on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday from 3:30-6:30pm. We are located behind Festus Main Street at S. 2nd & Behring Streets. Come check it out!

- The Clydesdale Parade was an amazing success and a wonderful community event!

This Thursday!!!

Next Thursday, July 23, the AB Clydesdales full hitch and wagon will be in Festus! At 6pm, the team will stop in front of City Hall for a Folds of Honor presentation. Afterwards, they will travel down Main Street stopping at various establishments to deliver a case of beer. The last delivery will be at Capt Z's on Bailey Road. Everyone is invited to line the route for this historic moment. We believe the last time the entire team was in Festus was 1955.
