I have finished 70 more pens for the Pens for the Troops sponsored by Woodcraft of St. Louis. I am currently at 258 pens this year. These are all SlimLine pens that are donated by Woodcraft of St. Louis so all I have to furnish is provide and cut the wood into pen blanks (I try and use found wood, meaning either free/donated/small cost for multiple pen blanks), sanding paper, finish and some time. It is a good cause and shows that we all support our Armed Forces and their support of us and our freedom.
I am not done for the year, still have a few more to turn, have a goal of 300 this year. I challenge all of the Pen turners our there to make a few.
Lets overload Woodcraft with a TON of Pens!!

Interested in woodturning, then watch this presentation by Paul Paul E. Krautmann as he demonstrates the turning of an Inside Out Ornament. His humor as he is demonstrating makes this a demonstration that anyone will love even if you are not into woodturning. He did this for the Show Me Woodturners in Nov this year so that we could go home and produce some ornaments for friends and family.
