A water well is more than a water well.

For the families in a village, it means clean water close to home.

It means less time spent walking long distances to collect water and more time for school, work, and caring for their families.

It means healthier families, children staying in school, and a better quality of life for an entire community.

Every well we place in India becomes a source of clean water that impacts hundreds of families every single day. Long after the drilling equipment leaves, the well continues serving the community for years to come.

Clean water is one of the most practical ways to transform lives, and we're grateful for every opportunity to make that possible.

Jack and Sherry are in India this week, on the ground placing clean water wells and working on community service projects that meet real needs in rural communities. They always love being with the people in a country they love so much!

Twelve years ago, I heard something that has stuck with me.

In poor areas of Costa Rica near the border with Nicaragua, moms often cry out to God, asking for help to get school supplies for their children. In these regions, schools don’t provide books or basic supplies, so every student needs things like a backpack, pencils, pens, notebooks, and more.

I was told I could be an answer to these mothers’ prayers.

The new school year starts this month, and last week I sent enough money to help 189 kids with supplies. This week, I’d like to send at least $3,000 more. Each backpack and set of supplies costs $25.

Would you help me be an answer to these mothers’ prayers?
