Lauren E. Cooper Bowling Tournament of Champions

Lauren E. Cooper Bowling Tournament of Champions Founded in 2013. Our goal is to raise enough money to continue funding the Lauren Cooper Memorial Scholarship for years to come, and to keep her memory alive.

The 7th Annual LCBTOC will be September 28, 2019, 6-9pm at Crestwood Bowl Lauren Cooper (LC) was a bright, hilarious, passionate twenty-five year old who tragically passed away on June 23, 2012. Lauren was a graduate of the George Washington University and four weeks before her passing, she earned her law degree from Loyola University. The Lauren E. Cooper Bowling Tournament of Champions is an eve

nt that was created in her memory by her ‘crew’ as a way to honor her… as she loved the challenge of a game of bowling, sweaty palms and all. All proceeds will benefit the Lauren Cooper Memorial Scholarship, awarded every May to one Lindbergh High School graduating senior who displays great leadership skills and academic promise.

Hello friends!
I hope this finds you and your families safe and well. I have been holding out on making this announcement hoping there would be a way we could make this happen. 🤞🏼 Like everyone else- we want normalcy and reality to return ASAP.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we are unable to hold our annual Lauren E. Cooper Bowling Tournament of Champions this year.

This tournament is very dear to my heart. It’s truthfully one of my most favorite days of the year. Seeing so many friends, everyone gathering to remember my sissy p, and raising money for the Lauren E. Cooper Memorial Scholarship.

Though we can’t host our tournament this year- please don’t forget about us! We will be back as soon as it is safe to do so.

Thank you for all your continued support. Stay well!

Much Love,
Rachel

For the second year in a row- congrats to our second place team!

Fun facts about Lauren:

Though she had a variety of dance moves, her staple go-to move was ‘the pancake’ and she was fully committed to fast flipping. It was pretty funny. If anyone has a video of her doing the pancake please send it to me!

I have talked myself in and out of posting this video countless times....but I’m posting it.

This is who is all about.
This is why we work so hard every single year.
This is who we are honoring.

Lauren was brilliant but humble. She had countless opportunities to work with huge companies, numerous recognitions, the list goes on....👏🏽

HOWEVER-

I guarantee you Lauren wouldn’t claim that any of those things, although remarkable, were what she was most proud of of.

What would it be?
Hands down- being ‘Aunt Lo’.

She took her role as Aunt Lo very seriously.
It didn’t matter if she was living in Washington or Chicago. She made it a point to come home and see Coop once a month and was always calling or sending him funny videos. He adored her and the feeling was 100% mutual.

Coop got a lot of time with Laur compared to the others (Will only got 4 months, and Elsie was born years later). However, we talk about her all the time so that all three of them know all about her.

This is one of the many videos I have of Cooper playing with Aunt Lo. You can see how he thought Aunt Lo was just the funniest, most amazing person ever. Which she was. ❤️

🎉Three days to go!!!🎉

Fun Fact about Lauren:
My most favorite thing she did for Coop was write him books. The series was called The Adventures of Super Cooper. She would come up with things to include- what he was currently interested in, things he had learned to do etc, then write a story, do illustrations, get it laminated and bound. She gave him 4 books, and I found the draft and illustrations for the 5th book after we had lost her.

What was once a neat gift is now a treasure. ❤️

Laur mentioned a few times that someday she wanted to write a children’s book and get it published. She didn’t get the opportunity to do that. So, one of my goals is to someday get one of the Super Cooper books published for her.
