What a successful event! Not only did we meet our goal of 100 participants, we surpassed it. Thank you to everyone that came out to support Omar’s Eagle Scout project Vets Gone Home 5k, bringing awareness to the homeless and in-need veteran community in the St. Louis area. A special thank you to all of the Veteran Service Organizations that came out and the community businesses that sponsored the race. The Vets Gone Home 5k Run/Walk is on Saturday March 4, 2023. It includes the following events: Adult Male Competitive 5k Run, Adult & Youth Fun Run/Walk, Adult Female Competitive 5k Run, Youth Male Competitive 5k Run, Youth Female Competitive 5k Run, Virtual Fun Run/Walk, and Scout Fun Run/Walk.

Vets Gone Home 5K Run/Walk's purpose is to bring awareness to the homeless and in-need veteran community in the Greater St. Louis Area and provide ways that you can assist these heroes. Currently, we have 13 community organizations that provide support and assistance to these veterans. We are highlighting each of these organizations, the work they do, and how you can get involved.

St. Patrick Center is a non-profit established in 1983 to combat homelessness St. Louis City and the surrounding area. The St. Patrick Center annually assists 3,700 individuals and families. Additionally, the St. Patrick Center operates Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) in Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, St. Francois, Warren, and Washington counties. If yo are a veteran or know a veteran that requires the services of St. Patrick Center then please check out their website: https://www.stpatrickcenter.org/

Vets Gone Home 5K Run/Walk's purpose is to bring awareness to the homeless and in-need veteran community in the Greater St. Louis Area and provide ways that you can assist these heroes. Currently, we have 13 community organizations that provide support and assistance to these veterans. We are highlighting each of these organizations, the work they do, and how you can get involved.

Missouri Veterans Endeavor (MOVE-STL) is a community for Veterans experiencing homelessness and their families with access to onsite 24/7 support. MOVE-STL empowers struggling Veterans to rediscover a sense of purpose and optimism and to realize their goal of independent living.

On Saturday, March 4th come out and meet the MOVE-STL team and hear how you can get involved with their mission. For more information on MOVE-STL then check out the link below:
