🏕️ Adventure Awaits in Troop 330 🥾

This past weekend, Troop 330 joined Troop 841 for an incredible weekend at the 8-Mile Group Campground near Leavenworth.

Together, our Scouts camped in patrols, cooked their own meals, managed their campsites, and worked as teams throughout the weekend. While the two troops shared the campground and activities, each patrol was responsible for its own success—just as Scouting is designed to be.

Several Scouts challenged themselves on the hike to 8-Mile Lake, covering nearly 7 miles and gaining over 1,300 feet in elevation. Others visited the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery, explored local trails, and spent time discovering the sights and history of Leavenworth.

What stands out most isn't the miles hiked or the places visited—it's watching Scouts grow. Every campout provides opportunities to lead, solve problems, build friendships, learn new skills, and gain confidence.

The photos tell that story far better than words ever could.

A huge thank you to the youth leaders, adult volunteers, and families who help make these adventures possible.

This campground quickly became one of our favorites, and we're already looking forward to returning.

Today our scouts took time to honor the men and women who served our country by placing flags on the graves of veterans ahead of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

This meaningful tradition reminds our youth that service, sacrifice, and dedication to our nation should never be forgotten. We are proud of our scouts for showing respect and gratitude to the veterans who came before us.

As you enjoy the holiday weekend, please take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who served our nation.

🎉 Happy National Scout Day – February 8 🎉

On this day in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America was founded by William D. Boyce—a proud Freemason—with a vision to build character, citizenship, and leadership in young people.

Boyce was joined by two remarkable leaders, both also Masons:
🔹 Daniel Carter Beard, the first National Commissioner of the BSA
🔹 James E. West, who would become the first Chief Scout Executive

Their shared values of service, integrity, and community continue to shape Scouting more than a century later.

Today, Scouts BSA Troops 841 and 330 are honored to carry that legacy forward. We are especially proud to be chartered by Thornton F McElroy #302 , whose continued support helps ensure Scouting remains strong for future generations.

Here’s to 116 years of Scouting—building leaders, serving others, and living the Scout Oath and Law. ⚜️
