💛 Rise Family, We Need You.
This week, our hearts are heavy.
Many of you know the Schmitt family. Cierra, Jordan, Henry, and their sweet daughter, Claire. Henry plays on our 34 Cowboys, and if you’ve been to a Friday night game, you’ve probably seen Claire right there on the sidelines, smiling, cheering on her brother, or helping out with the little things that make Rise Flag Football feel like family.
Recently, the Schmitts received news that has changed their world completely.
Claire has been diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) — a rare and terminal brain tumor. Just a week ago, she was our normal, happy little girl… playing, laughing, and spreading her sunshine. Now, her family is facing a journey no parent should ever have to walk.
There are no words that make this right. Only love, faith, and community can help carry them through.
As friends, teammates, and a league built on family, we want to surround the Schmitts with the same support and strength they’ve always shown others.
