A pretty special day for Gear to Grant.

Today, our 15-year-old founder, Matthew, had the opportunity to speak with the Faribault Rotary Club about why he started Gear to Grant, the work we’re doing, and our mission to help more kids experience the benefits of sports.

Matthew spoke in front of a room with local business owners, professionals, and community leaders and asked for their advice, their ideas, and their help connecting Gear to Grant with the kids, teams, schools, and programs in our community that could use our support.

A huge thank you to Rotary President Brandon Gliem, a Captain with the Faribault Police Department and everyone at the Faribault Rotary Club for welcoming Matthew, listening to our story, and giving a young founder the opportunity to learn from people who have spent years serving their community.

We’re grateful for every conversation, connection, and piece of advice that helps us get closer to the kids who need us.

Sports for all. ⚽🏀🏈⚾

Yesterday our very own Ibrahim Khalif shared a fantastic presentation about the nonprofit work he is doing in Faribault- One Community Bridge! This organization couldn’t have a more perfect name, as the downtown location is indeed building bridges and making a lasting impact on Rice Country! Ibrahim has also done presentations at the library to educate our citizens, share his personal journey and build stronger, healthier relationships in our community. Be sure to check out the new downtown location for One Community Bridge and say hello to Ibrahim Khalif! We are grateful to have him as a Rotary member and as a citizen of Faribault!
