If your looking for a trained livestock guardian dog, Fallon Animal Shelter has two, possibly 3 males in (all from the same family/household). They just have two listed as of right now but pretty sure they had a 3rd one brought in Friday evening. The owner of the dogs was involved in a serious accident and may not recover from injuries. So the family had to give up the dogs unfortunately. These dogs have been working dogs around goats, pigs, and birds from the sounds of it. If you have the room to keep the remaining pack together as they already have an established working pack order, that would be AMAZING 😍 please call the shelter to inquire. They do not hold dogs and it is a first come basis. Again, attached are the two photos of the dogs they have listed.

Laci is a 5 yr old Pyranese (not spayed) and current on vaccines. She does great with dogs, kids (babies through teenagers) and doesn’t bother cats. I believe she’s in the Reno area (if I’m remembering correctly) lol. They are in need of rehoming her due to their daughter (owner of the dog) not having time for her and Laci is not getting the attention she deserves/seeks. This handsome, 15 month old (not neutered) Great Pyranese/St. Bernard mix is looking for a new gig. His mom is having medical/health issues and is unable to care for him. We had some new life born on the farm yesterday and Star seems to do fine with the newborn babies 💕 as you can see… she has the pleasure of going in and out of the pen at her own leisure

No more puppies for Star… she got spayed Monday and is now able/ready to start seeking her forever home 🥰
Does great with other dogs, kids, and is doing well with goats. She still has some tendencies to want to play chase on occasion but stops when you tell her leave it. Have not tried her around cats or birds yet. Feel free to shoot me a message to inquire about adopting. 💕

A bonded sister/brother pair are looking for a new gig… the current owners got the dogs a couple weeks ago, roughly, and where told the dogs where good with chickens, kids, and smaller livestock. The dogs have taken out their chicks and bark at their young kids when ever they see them. They feel like a home best suited for this pair is a house hold with older kids (or maybe no kids?) and a house with no birds. They are currently in Silver Springs,NV. PM for more info and I can get you in touch with the folks that currently have the dogs.

This sweet gal is in Silver Springs,NV and looking for a new family.
She’s been around chickens, ducks, sheep, and goats. The owners just started kidding their goats and and have had Ivory for 6 months and this is her first time, with them, being around newborn goats. She won’t let the mommas near the babies and tries to be the mother to the newborn goats. That’s the only reason they are needing to rehome her. The set up they have, won’t allow them to seperate the mommas from Ivory. She’s calm and gentle around kids and cats as well. She does need a taller fence and/or a fence with hot wire on the top, as she will explore if given the opportunity. PM me for the owners number and I can pass that along. She’s 4 yrs old, roughly, and spayed.

Star with the other dogs while eating and no issues 💕
If people would just give these dogs some time and have patience with working with them, these dogs are truly incredible dogs. Star is Great Pyranese with Husky and a dabble of a couple other breeds.
