This week’s Midweek Moments That Matter takes us to Baywood Golf Course for the 19th Annual Falcon Children’s Home Golf Tournament!

For 19 years, Michelle Williams has poured her heart into organizing this special event, bringing together a community of generous supporters who believe in the mission of Falcon Children’s Home & Family Services. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication and the countless individuals and businesses who continue to make this tournament a success!

A special thank you to Tyler and the team at Baywood Golf Course for their hospitality and continued support, and to everyone who sponsored, played, volunteered, or contributed.

As Mr. Leggett reminds us, every child at Falcon has a story, and every act of generosity helps us make a difference in that story. ❤️

🎃 It's feeling like Fall at Falcon Children's Home! 💙

A huge THANK YOU to Williams Produce and Stout Land Development for donating pumpkins for our students to carve and enjoy during our upcoming Halloween festivities! Even our Marketing Director got in on the fun with a Falcon Children’s Home pumpkin carving. 🎃

We also caught up with two of our incredible FCA teachers, Caren Holland and Cindy Dixon, who shared why they feel called to serve at Falcon and reflected on students who have left a lasting mark on their hearts. At Falcon Christian Academy, our teachers do so much more than teach. For children who may have experienced trauma, instability, or difficult circumstances, they can become trusted mentors, encouragers, and a steady presence in their lives.

⛳ This Friday, we’re hitting the course for a special tradition that has been making a difference for Falcon Children’s Home for many years! A huge thank you to Michelle Williams for the incredible time, energy, and heart she pours into organizing this annual golf tournament at Baywood Golf Course. Year after year, Michelle brings together golfers, sponsors, businesses, and friends who believe in the mission of Falcon Children’s Home and Family Services. We are incredibly grateful for her continued dedication and for everyone who will be joining us on the course this Friday! 💙

As the leaves change and fall settles in on campus, there’s plenty to look forward to—from Halloween festivities and the upcoming golf tournament to Harvest Train just around the corner! 🚂🍂

Most of all, we’re thankful for every church, business, teacher, donor, volunteer, and friend who makes this ministry possible. We truly could not do what we do without people who believe in the children and families we serve.

🎣 There’s nothing quite like a day of fishing, food, fun, and fellowship at Ranger Land!

This week, we’re celebrating a special tradition at Falcon Children’s Home & Family Services as the Clinton chapter of Ducks Unlimited returned for their annual Greenwing event. For the fourth year at Falcon, this dedicated group created an unforgettable afternoon for our children and young adults.

From fishing and BB gun activities with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission to hot dogs, pizza, popcorn, popsicles, goodie bags, and plenty of time spent together, our kids had a blast! 🎣

What makes this event so meaningful is the time, preparation, and heart that goes into it. These volunteers begin preparing days in advance and give up their Sunday afternoon simply to create a fun experience for the young people we serve.

A huge thank you to Ducks Unlimited and all of their participating sponsors: Coca-Cola, Domino's Pizza, Hog Slat, Pizza Inn, Prestige Farms, Smithfield Foods, and Star Communications. We are also grateful to our Campus Life Director, Nate Thompson, for helping coordinate another wonderful day at Ranger Land.

These are the moments that remind us just how much of an impact a caring community can make. 💙

Thank you for investing in our kids, creating memories, and continuing to be part of the Falcon family. We already can't wait for next year!

🦋 From Caterpillar to Butterfly: A Lesson in Transformation 🦋

This week’s Midweek Moment takes us inside Mrs. Hannah Thompson’s first-grade classroom at Falcon Christian Academy, where her students have been getting a front-row seat to one of God’s most amazing creations!

With the help of Mrs. Barbara Wood, Mrs. Hannah brought eight monarch caterpillars into her classroom. The students have watched them grow, form their chrysalises, and transform into beautiful butterflies—all in just a little over two weeks!

For the students, it’s been more than a science lesson. It’s been an opportunity to witness transformation, ask questions, learn about creation, and experience something they’ll remember for years to come.
