Today’s the day! Our Back-to-School Art Supply Seconds Sale September 4-6 | Labor Day Weekendstarts at noon, and we’ve got a LOT to dig through.

One little favor before you come treasure hunt: BYOB. Bring Your Own Bag. In the spirit of the sale, we’re trying to keep waste down too. We’ll have a limited stash of reused grocery bags, but bring a tote and fill ’er up.

Haleigh Maede dropped off a beautiful batch of gemstones for this weekend’s Back-to-School Art Supply Seconds Sale September 4-6 | Labor Day Weekend, plus we got our hands on more of that upholstery fabric y’all loved so much last time.

And this is only a tiny peek at what’s going out.

Come dig through it all starting tomorrow at 12pm (do not arrive early!). The good stuff tends to find a new home fast!!

The Secondhand Art Supply Sale starts tomorrow, September hours are here + holiday planning is officially underway

Happy Labor Day weekend, y'all!

September always feels like the beginning of a new season. The shop is changing and shifting into fall mindset (while trying to enjoy the last bit of late summer!), our hours are expanding, new work is arriving, and we're building toward a very full holiday season.

New September Hours

We're easing into our seasonal hours this month!

Wednesday to Saturday we're open 10-6pm
Sundays 10-4

And this is just the beginning. We'll continue adding hours as we move toward November and December, when we pretty much open the gates and live here for the holidays.

Our Back-to-School Secondhand Art Supply Sale is September 4-6th! We've had four different artists and our founder contribute this time, which means there is a LOT to dig through! Supplies, materials, tools and all kinds of creative odds and ends are getting a second chance to land in somebody else's studio (or on your kitchen table!).

We'll have the big 10x20 foot tent out front all weekend, so give yourself some time to look. Please do not arrive early and bring a bag in the spirit of conservation. The sale begins at noon each day while supplies last.

If you make things, want to make things, have kids who make things, or simply cannot resist a good creative treasure hunt, this is for you!

Artist of the Week: Mütta Designs

One of the best parts of Wilderness Muse will always be getting to introduce you to new people and brands. This week we're featuring Ferni + Mütta Designs and their beautiful natural feather earrings. Lightweight, detailed, double-sided (!), and easy to wear, each pair brings a little movement and texture to your outfit without feeling overdone.

A little Holiday Sneak Peak

Yes, we know it's September.

And YES, we are already planning and talking about the holidays!

This year we're expanding our holiday market series + bringing local artists, makers, and small businesses to Wilderness Muse every weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Applications for our Holiday Local Market Series are open now (https://forms.gle/zNfXJmbkETJFC4ow9) , and we'll be accepting and notifying vendors for a few more weeks while we build out the lineup (and waitlist!).

Community Pantry Update

We're collecting canned goods & pantry staples for the Garren Creek Foundation, (https://www.garrencreek.org/) a local nonprofit supporting our community through a no-questions-asked pantry off Garren Creek + Lee Dotson Road.

If you're coming by the shop anyway, bring a can of food or twelve with you. Small things add up quickly when we all do it together!

One More Thing before we Go...

September is also when our classes start picking back up!

We still have a few slots left in Hobby to Holidays, our 5-week live learning series starting September 14th (https://square.link/u/yXRWNFrY) for artists and makers who want to take what they make and get it market-ready this year. We're covering the practical stuff I've learned from years of doing hundreds of markets: finding the right events for your work, pricing, display options, prepping inventory, and actually getting yourself out there (finally!).

And If you would rather make something with us....

Our Fall Candle Class will be officially announced + registration will open next week! (Let's just get through this heat wave first!).

However you spend it, we hope you get a good, easy Labor Day Weekend before things get moving. We'll be here with the doors open!

Four different artists contributed to this round, which means there is a fun assortment of supplies, materials, tools and things somebody bought with very good intentions lol

Come dig through it. Take somebody else’s abandoned hobby home. Find something weird. Start a new project. Get a really good deal!
