🐎 Rainier gets Casted by Kaeli our Farrier! 🐎

Many of you are familiar with our big OTTB (Off-Track Thoroughbred), Rainier, who sustained a pretty significant hoof injury a few years ago before being surrendered to the Rescue.

Today, Rainier is living his best life out on pasture 24/7 alongside one of our other sanctuary horses, Wh***ey. These two are the BEST of buds, and we love seeing Rainier enjoying the life he deserves! 🤗

Unfortunately, Rainier continues to require some of the BEST farrier care around. He's currently sporting a hoof cast to help stabilize his hoof and keep him as comfortable and supported as possible. He also needs some special supplements to help support his ongoing care.

Let's just say this handsome boy is a little high maintenance 🥰, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

❤️ We're ALWAYS looking for a little extra help with Rainier's care! ❤️

If you'd like to contribute toward his farrier bills, special supplements, and ongoing needs, every donation makes a difference. No amount is too small, and we're so grateful for everyone who helps us care for these incredible horses.

🐴 Help us keep Rainier happy, healthy, and living his best life!

Thank you for loving our sanctuary horses and helping us give them the care they deserve! 💙

🌾🐴 THAT’S A WRAP — FINAL HAY DAY 2026! 🐴🌾

Another 600 bales of hay rolled into Far View Horse Rescue on FOUR rigs, and thanks to SO MANY helping hands, we got it done! 💪❤️

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up, hauled, stacked, lifted, organized, and helped us prepare for the months ahead. 600 bales is no small feat, and we couldn’t do it without this amazing community!

And while we had all that hay moving around… we figured we might as well bust out the HAY MAZE for our upcoming 8th Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 3rd! 🎃🍂🌾

As you can see, Cinnamon — our oldest resident — has already completed her official inspection and APPROVES! 🐴✅

Come check it out for yourself on October 3rd! Tractor hay rides to the pumpkin patch, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, games, silent auction, food, the hay maze and plenty of fall fun await!

🍁 Mark your calendars and come celebrate fall at Far View! 🍁

And one more HUGE THANK YOU to every single person who helped make our final Hay Day of 2026 a success. ❤️🌾

🐎 ❤️ Equine First Aid Clinic! 🐴💕

Last weekend was such a valuable day of learning at our Equine First Aid Clinic! We covered everything from taking vitals and recognizing signs of pain to stretching and exercises, checking for back soreness, and so much more.

We also learned how to care for different types of injuries — including when the best thing we can do is stabilize an injury and keep our horse comfortable until the veterinarian can arrive. We covered colic, casting, dehydration, wound care, and so much more. It was an incredibly informative and hands-on day that gave us even more confidence in being prepared for those unexpected situations. 🩺🐎

A HUGE shout out to Brittany with Open Air Equine for always teaching us so much and for putting together such an amazing, informative day! We truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge and helping us become better horse owners and caregivers. 💕

And of course, a big thank-you to our very patient patients — Adira, Cinnamon, and Waylon — for being such good sports and helping us learn! 🥰🐴

We’re so grateful for days like this and for the opportunity to keep learning and improving our horsemanship. ❤️
