34 women. Three years of cohorts. One room. ✨

In September, scholarship recipients from every year of the program came together in Bethlehem. Some had spent months on a screen together and had never shaken hands.

The day held a storytelling workshop led by InterAct founder Aziz Abu Sarah, a visit to the Church of the Nativity, a shared meal, and small gifts to take home.

Bringing all three cohorts into one room was intentional. Women who graduated years ago sat beside women just beginning their degrees, and connections formed across years that no workshop could have engineered. This is the moment a program becomes a community.
Scholarships open a door. This is what happens after the women walk through it.

Nine workshops. Nine facilitators. All of them scholarship recipients.
Here's the part we're proudest of: we didn't teach these sessions. They did. Between April and August, recipients — many of them pursuing master's and doctoral degrees — led workshops for their peers on the skills they actually needed:

1- Introduction & Community Building
2- Digital Tools & Google Workspace
3- Food Decoration & Micro‑Business Skills
4- Using AI Tools for University Studies
5- First Aid Training
6- Tourism in Hebron
7- CV Writing Workshop
8- Women’s Empowerment in Palestinian Society
9- Supporting Individuals with Learning Difficulties

Two sessions went somewhere harder. One looked at women's empowerment in Palestinian society — self-defense, how to respond to domestic violence, and which organizations are there to help. Another focused on building the group itself, because a cohort that doesn't know each other can't hold each other up.

This is what we mean by leadership development. Not a lecture about it. The practice of it.

We fund tuition. It's the least interesting thing we do.

Our Women's Leadership & Scholarships Program supports young women from the West Bank and East Jerusalem through university — but tuition is only half of it. Every recipient joins a leadership program that runs alongside her degree, where the women learn from each other and build something none of them had before: a network.

From April to August we met online, twice a month, for nine workshops. In September, we finally met face to face.

We’re celebrating two of InterAct International’s own leaders, Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah, who were honored with the first‑ever “The Rest Is Politics Award for Genuine Peacemaking.” Their courage, vision, and commitment to building bridges embody the heart of InterAct’s mission.

This week, Maoz and Aziz joined Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart on stage at London’s Royal Festival Hall, where they shared powerful stories of hope, humanity, and connection with an audience of 2,500 people. Their leadership continues to inspire our global community and remind us that peace is possible.

Leadership starts with one brave voice — and this month, it was Lina’s.

Our Educational Scholarships & Women’s Leadership Program held a powerful workshop on the importance of tourism, focusing on the city of Hebron and the historic Ibrahimi Mosque.

The session was led by Lina — one of our scholarship recipients, a mother, and an MA student in Applied Marketing Management.

Lina isn’t just a participant; she’s a storyteller. She’s also part of our Dual Narrative Education Center, where she helps share historical, personal, and community stories that bring people closer together.

Her journey is exactly why we invest in women’s leadership. When women rise, entire communities rise with them.

Strong women change the world — and education is where it begins!

Thanks to our Scholarship Program, women like Muntaha are turning their dreams into impact. Now in her second year as a scholarship recipient, she continues to inspire us with her dedication to becoming a nurse and giving back to her community.

As part of her scholarship journey, Muntaha recently led a First Aid Workshop that equipped women with practical tools to respond to emergencies with clarity and courage. From understanding the ABCDE approach to managing burns, fainting, choking, heatstroke, poisoning, and more, the workshop showed how knowledge can transform fear into action.

Some houses hold memories...This one tells a story!

In the heart of Nazareth’s Old City, the Fauzi Azar Cultural House is becoming a living space where history breathes, voices echo, and narratives meet. Here, the past, present, and future of the Israeli Palestinian story unfold through dialogue, memory, and shared experience.

This historic Palestinian home will soon host the Dual Narrative Education Center, with three immersive rooms — each dedicated to a different chapter of our collective story:
the past, the present, and the future.
But this project is more than an exhibition.
It’s a living archive, shaped by the people who lived it.

Over the past weeks, we’ve been sitting with the Azar family (original owners of the house) — daughters, grandchildren, and relatives — recording oral histories, gathering memories, and honoring the legacy of Fauzi Azar, whose life and home remain woven into Nazareth’s cultural fabric.

Their stories, laughter, and reflections are helping us restore not only the house, but the spirit that once filled it.
Today, the Cultural House is already alive with voices and community energy.

At InterAct, we celebrate the magic that happens when women learn, create, and grow together.
Our Educational Scholarships for Palestinian Women program continues to grow through the talent, creativity, and leadership of the women within it. This week, we held our second workshop — once again led by one of our own.
This session was guided by Dalia, an MA student from Jerusalem and a second time scholarship recipient. Alongside her academic journey, Dalia is developing a small business idea centered around fruit decorating and carving — a craft she brought to life in this hands on workshop.
What began as a creative activity quickly became something deeper.
The women learned how to:
• Transform everyday fruits into beautiful artistic designs
• Practice patience, focus, and fine motor creativity
• Use artistic expression as a form of joy, confidence, and self care
• Celebrate their own skills while encouraging one another
Workshops like this remind us that learning, creativity, and joy can go hand in hand. Each session becomes a moment of connection — women coming together to try something new, have fun, and strengthen the community they’re building side by side.

At InterAct, we believe in the power of women inspiring women.

Our Educational Scholarships for Palestinian Women program is built on that spirit — supporting women not only in their studies, but in their leadership, skills, and confidence.
One of the most beautiful parts of the program is that the scholarship recipients themselves lead workshops, sharing their knowledge and lifting each other up.

Our first workshop was led by Shireen, a PhD student in Business Administration. She introduced the group to Google tools, with a special focus on Google Forms.
The women learned how to:
• Create professional surveys
• Collect and analyze data
• Build registration and feedback forms
• Use digital tools to support their projects, studies, and community initiatives
This is what empowerment looks like:
women teaching women, women supporting women, women building the skills to lead.
