Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, achievements, and contributions of African Americans throughout our nation's history.
Juneteenth reminds us of the importance of freedom, equality, and opportunity for all. As we reflect on our shared history, we reaffirm our commitment to building communities where every young person is valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Happy Juneteenth from all of us at the Georgia-Carolina Council.
