An amazing way to continue to preserve our culture!

On the first Friday of each month beginning on Labor Day weekend, we'll be hosting new and upcoming traditional Cajun bands wanting to keep our beautiful tradition alive. All made possible by Acadiana Roots!🪗

If you or a special someone play in a traditional Cajun band, comment their band name or tag their page for a chance to be one of our lucky Cajuns to be hosted at our infamous barn!

When I said “we’ll catch you around the roots”, I meant it. Last Wednesday we visited The French Table in Eunice, Louisiana that happens each week at 9:30.

We discussed how important it is that we continue to pass on the language of Cajun French, as it continues to fade away. As well as collaborating on how tourists and young Cajuns learn about our heritage. We also learned a few words in Cajun French!

If you’re looking to find a way to learn about the culture, hone in your Cajun French speaking, or starting from scratch with a want to learn. Check out The French Table in Eunice located at the Eunice Depot Museum at 9:30 am! 🚂

We want to extend a big-big merci to all who were interested in our Acadiana Roots scholarship to send two kids to the Folk Roots Kids Camp! Your interest gives hope that the younger generations will prosper in our special traditions.

The Folk Roots Kids Camp is such a fun way to enrich our youth with the tools to continue to preserve our unique traditions here in Acadiana. In this 5-day camp kids aging from 8-14 years old will experience fun-filled traditional music instrument classes, creating folk crafts, French language singing, and so much more!🎻

We want to help the kiddos of Acadiana's future by giving out TWO scholarships that will fully pay for the registration fee to allow two kids to prosper in the enrichment of our culture!
