2026 MEMBER OF THE YEAR ST. LANDRY CHAPTER

Shawn “Echo” Eckert was named Member of the Year for his dedication and commitment to not only the Thin Blue Line LEMC but to his community. He is a true ambassador to our Nation. This brother rides in tropical force winds before a hurricane, 30 degree weather before a cold front of 18 degrees sets in and during a heat wave. “Just to get a ride in” before the weather gets bad lol!!

He is a true brother and we are honored to have him serve as secretary and our “ambassador” to our chapter and TBL Nation.

WE DON’T JUST RIDE, WE SERVE
Helping the community is a large part of what we are all about.
Yesterday this event was so awesome due to the sponsorship of our community and we were proud to be a part of it.
Our chapter along with Harmony Lodge #410 Eunice, La. the Dallas Chapter of the TBL LEMC (who came out in force), and “Lone Rider” Brazo Valley who stayed true to his road name lol all helped this event be the best. So many smiles and it was HOT! We cooked over 200 hotdogs and the kids took pictures on our bikes and Old Skool’s military side car. Our own Law-Dawg even took 2 bites from one of the Eunice Police Department’s K-9 section. The real k-9/Law Dog won!!
We patched in a new brother in our chapter and watched as Bulletproof patched a brother into the Dallas Chapter. We also donated fans to the City Marshal Fan drive for those in need.

After the event we held our chapter meetings and then we awarded our Member of the Year. After the meeting we rode to est and fellowship together, let’s just say Texas held their own and left full lol.

Next year will be better than ever, why can’t we have a Summer bash in the winter?

EUNICE CITY MARSHAL’S OFFICE TO OFFER MULTI-STATE CONCEALED PERMIT TRAINING CLASS
The Eunice City Marshal’s Office is hosting a 1-day concealed carry permit or renewal training class on August 22, 2026. The location is 211 West Park Eunice, La. and begins at 7:30am.
The course is $80.00 for single and $60.00 for a spouse if attending together and includes online help with the LSP application, classroom, and the range qualification. The course is taught by the certified police trainers with 80 years of police, military, and civilian training.
THE STATE LAW NOW ALLOWS ALL PERSONS 18 YEARS OF AGE AND WHO CAN LAWFULLY POSSESS A GUN TO CONCEAL A FIREARM WITHOUT A PERMIT. HOWEVER, all laws remain in effect as in the past. The benefits to having a permit are to carry out of state, lawsuit protection, carry in more places, and the knowledge and understanding of properly carrying and using a firearm.
You can reserve your seat by calling 337-945-4286, if the line is busy, simply leave a message and you are in. You will receive a phone call to confirm and reminder as the class nears. All proceeds go to local charities and the course is non-profit 501 3C. In the past donations have been made to the Shriners, Eye and Speech Foundations, Dyslexia Foundations, community health units, and youth charities, etc.

💜 Ride for Morgan 🏍️

Today, members of Thin Blue Line St. Landry Motorcycle Club were honored to participate in the Ride for Morgan benefit ride.

It was a blessing to see so many riders and community members come together to support Morgan and her family during this difficult time. Thank you to the organizers for putting together such a meaningful event and to everyone who came out to show their love and support.

We are grateful to have been a small part of today’s ride and continue to pray for Morgan’s healing, strength, and recovery, as well as for her precious family.

When a community comes together, hope rides with us. 💜🏍️
