KOA is asking franchisees to help shape the future of its procurement strategy, and the KOA Owners Association encourages all owners to take a few minutes to share your feedback.

The 2026 KOA Campground Procurement Needs Assessment is designed to identify:

🛒 Purchasing challenges campgrounds are experiencing
🤝 Areas where additional supplier support is needed
💲 Opportunities for negotiated pricing
📦 Potential national supplier agreements
💡 Areas where more centralized purchasing could provide real value to owners

This is an opportunity to tell KOA where YOU believe its procurement efforts could make the greatest difference for your campground and the KOA system as a whole.

With the transition to the new KOA.com website underway, today is the time to review and make any needed updates to your current website content.

⚠️ Why the urgency?
If your updates aren't completed TODAY, owners will need to make changes in BOTH the current system AND the new system for the next 45–60 days while the website transition takes place. Taking the time to clean things up now could save you from double the work later!

KOA has put together a helpful New Website Transition Checklist to guide you through the process.

🏕️ Review TODAY:
• Your homepage image, message & call to action
• Welcome message and campground information
• Hours, check-in/out times & WiFi information
• Local attractions & recreation
• Ways to Stay and K2 Pricing Groups
• Site descriptions, amenities & photos
• Your campground site map
• Social media links
• Photo albums — including removing outdated photos!

📸 Pay special attention to your Ways to Stay! KOA recommends having 3–5 high-quality, CURRENT photos for each site type, along with accurate descriptions, amenities and features.

Don't put this one on tomorrow's list! A little time spent reviewing and updating your information today could save you from maintaining those updates in two different systems for the next 45–60 days.

⚡ Important Update for KOA Owners! ⚡

Representatives from the KOA Owners Association recently attended the Campground Coalition meeting during RVIA's Move America Week, where one of the biggest topics discussed was the upcoming implementation of Grounding Monitor Interrupter (GMI) technology on all new RVs beginning with the 2028 model year. This change could have a significant impact on campground electrical systems and guest experiences.

🚨 KOA Owners: A Quick Cybersecurity Reminder 🚨

We've recently heard from several members who have received emails that appear to come from fellow campground owners, OA leaders, or board members—but aren't actually from them.

This practice is called email spoofing, and unfortunately it's becoming more common. Scammers use a familiar name to gain trust, then ask for money, gift cards, wire transfers, or other urgent favors.

Before you respond to any unexpected request, take a moment to verify the sender's actual email address—not just the display name. A quick phone call or separate email can save a lot of headaches.
