On a beautiful sunny afternoon, the Essex Land Trust held an event to recognize supporters who have chosen to be Conservators for Life. President Deb Carreau announced that thirty two names have been added to the Conservators Rock at Cross Lots. Conservators for Life have made shown their commitment to what the land trust does to preserve and care for open space in our community, benefiting all who access our 35 miles of trails across our 700 acres. The event was a great opportunity to engage with like minded supporters under a tent with delicious refreshments.

A belated thanks to the Valley Regional High School Warriors for their outstanding help at several Essex Land Trust preserves. Every year high school students take time to help in the community. We very much appreciate their hard work and enthusiasm. This year, sophomores spread four yards of wood chips on The Millrace trail wet spots, cleared historic rock walls at Cross Lots dogwood meadow, and cleared invasive plants at Turtle Creek. Thank you again ....Go Warriors! 🙌. 👏
