❤️As this school year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize two incredible leaders who have guided the Red Hawk Elementary PTO over the past two years — our President, Pam Stehle, and Vice President, Sarah Olson.

Through every meeting, event, challenge, and celebration, Pam and Sarah have been steady, thoughtful, and dedicated leaders for our PTO community. Their time, energy, humor, and commitment have helped make Red Hawk a welcoming and supportive place for our students, staff, and families.

Pam and Sarah, thank you for leading with kindness, patience, and heart. Your impact on our school community will be felt for years to come, and we are so grateful for everything you’ve done for Red Hawk Elementary PTO. 🌟 STAFF SPOTLIGHT: MISS DEBBIE 🌟

Meet Miss Debbie, Red Hawk Elementary’s amazing Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Training Manager (KTM)! ❤️ Did you know Red Hawk is a “Training Kitchen” for the district? Miss Debbie is one of only SIX Nutrition Services managers in SVVSD to hold the KTM role! 👏🍽️

Our students know her as “Miss Debbie”… and sometimes even “Grandma!” 🥰 One of her favorite customers is her grandson Cash in 1st grade! 💙

Miss Debbie moved to Erie in January 2024 to be closer to her daughter Lindsay and family, and joined SVVSD in February 2024. Before coming to Colorado, she owned a catering company in Prescott, Arizona called Goods from the Garden 🌿🥗

She’s originally from Chicago, lived in Arizona for 36 years ☀️🌵, and spent 26 years with McDonald’s Corporation gaining incredible experience in Operations, Training, Marketing, and Risk Management. She even had the opportunity to work with international teams in France 🇫🇷, Thailand 🇹🇭, Switzerland 🇨🇭, and Germany 🇩🇪!

When she’s not serving students delicious meals, Miss Debbie loves:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Spending time with family
🌸 Gardening
🌲 Enjoying nature
⛪ Serving in her church community
She is also part of the launch team for BOLD Church here in Erie! 🙌

One thing Miss Debbie wants families to know:
💬 “Every day it is our team’s commitment to offer the best culinary experience possible and serve dynamic meals that support the well-being of students. My team shares kindness and compassion with the students, and I love making a difference in the lives of children. They are such blessings in my life!”

And one more exciting update… her daughter Stephanie and family are moving to Erie this summer, meaning her WHOLE family will finally be together in one city! ❤️🏡

Well… apparently Colorado decided we didn’t have enough winter this year, so now it’s making up for lost time in May. ❄️🌨️

Due to the incoming weather, we have made the difficult decision to cancel both:
�🎡 The Carnival scheduled for Monday, May 18�🍧 Kona Ice scheduled for Tuesday, May 19

The safety of our families, students, staff, and vendors always comes first, and the forecast just isn’t cooperating with our plans.

We know everyone was looking forward to these events, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we navigate another classic Colorado weather moment.

Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our incredible staff during Staff Appreciation Week! 💙🍎

We are so grateful for the dedication, care, and hard work our teachers and staff pour into our students every single day. We hope this week helped show just how appreciated they truly are!

✨ Monday – Coffee cart delivery to fuel the week
🌮 Tuesday – Catered Qdoba lunch
🍿 Wednesday – Popcorn bar treats
🥞 Thursday – Breakfast for the staff
💆 Friday – Relaxing massages to end the week

We also delivered posters filled with notes of gratitude to every staff member — a small reminder of the huge impact they make in our school community each day.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, organized, and helped make this week so special. Our staff deserves the world, and we loved celebrating them! ❤️
