Your donations, purchases and volunteer time at ReUzit on State, a Mennonite Central Committee - MCC Thrift Store help provide people like Blanca Choque grow food to eat and sell. MCC works with local community groups to develop long-term solutions to difficult problems. Thank you!

Across the high-altitude city of El Alto, Bolivia, dusty soil and whipping winds pose unique challenges for families looking to grow their own food. And rising prices prevent many from getting everything they need from the market.

But within the walls of Blanca Choque's greenhouse, healthy heads of cauliflower and vibrant tomatoes rise up from the ground. Nearly 10 years ago, Choque attended her first training with MCC partner FCA. Ongoing support from FCA helps her crops to keep flourishing even as changing weather patterns bring new challenges.
