No child should go hungry this summer. ❤️☀️

We’re so thankful our community has programs like this available for local kids and families! If you know a family that may need a little extra support this summer, please share this information with them.

And if your family could use additional help with food boxes, don’t hesitate to reach out. There are people in this community who care and want to help however they can. Emmett Friendship Coalition food pantry is open on Tuesdays from 3:15-6 and we also offer a free community dinner beginning at 5pm. Both of these are held at the Gem County Senior Center.

Together, we can make sure every child in Emmett feels cared for, supported, and fed this summer. 💛

Thank YOU Gem Community! and Letter Carriers! Yesterday our volunteers sorted and boxed up 2625 pounds of food donated Saturday through the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. This will help us continue to provide food to our community's families, friends and neighbors.

📬🥫 STAMP OUT HUNGER – THIS SATURDAY, MAY 9!

Let’s come together, Emmett! 💛 The annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is happening this Saturday, and it’s one of the easiest ways to make a real difference right here in our community.

The Emmett Valley Friendship Coalition relies on this drive to help feed 120+ local families every week—and the food collected now becomes the backbone of support throughout the summer months.

How to help (it’s so simple!):
📦 Place a bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox before your regular mail delivery time, and your mail carrier will pick it up!

Most-needed items:
✔️ Hearty canned soups & chili
✔️ Proteins (beans, canned chicken, tuna)
✔️ Boxed meals, pasta, rice
✔️ Cereal, pancake mix
✔️ Canned fruit

🚫 Please no glass jars or home-canned items

Every bag counts. Every donation matters. Together, we can help fill empty shelves—and empty bellies. 🧡

We believe our homeless DO count!
Help let those in our community who have challenges with their housing know the annual Point In Time housing survey is gearing up to take place.
This year, on Tuesday, Feb. 3 a representative will be at the regular Emmett Valley Friendship Coalition programs from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, 719 S. Johns Ave. It will take place during the regular Friendship Dinner and Friendship Pantry.
Those who participate may also get a box of food and dinner, either eat-in or take-out.
Information is gathered in a way to protect the identity of the individuals. No one can be traced based on what they share.
We care about people and families who live in a place without electricity, running water or the ability to cook.
So if you know about someone or a family who is doubling up with another, couch surfing, living in an RV, shed or car or especially if they live outside, please help them get to this vital count.
Information is used to help determine what works and where there are gaps for homeless services, by local, state and federal agencies.
