🇺🇸 HJR4 is NOT about legalizing drugs. It's about taking away your constitutional voice.

Here's the truth:

✅ If HJR4 FAILS, drugs do NOT become legal in Idaho. Idaho's current laws stay exactly the same unless they are changed through the normal legislative or constitutional process.

❌ If HJR4 PASSES, Idaho voters lose an important constitutional right. On future citizen initiatives involving Schedule I or II controlled substances, you won't have the final say. Your ability to vote YES or NO on those initiatives would be taken away, and that decision would instead require legislative approval under the proposed constitutional amendment.

This isn't about telling people how to vote on cannabis or any other drug policy.

It's about preserving your right to vote.

No matter where you stand on the issue, every Idahoan should have a voice.

🇺🇸 Voting NO on HJR4 is bipartisan.

You don't have to agree on every issue to agree on this: The people should keep the power to petition their own government.

Whether you're conservative, liberal, independent, or somewhere in between, Idaho's citizen initiative process belongs to all of us.

🗳️ Reasons to VOTE NO on Idaho HJR4
No matter where you stand on cannabis—or any other issue—HJR4 is about who gets to decide.

If passed, HJR4 would amend the Idaho Constitution to prevent voters from using the initiative process to legalize or authorize Schedule I or II substances unless the Legislature first approves it by a two-thirds vote. That means one constitutional right reserved to the people would be permanently restricted.

Here are five reasons to vote NO:
🇺🇸 1. It takes power away from the people.
Idaho's initiative process exists so citizens can propose laws and constitutional amendments when they believe elected officials are not listening. HJR4 limits that constitutional right by taking certain issues completely off the table for voters.

🗳️ 2. It limits the voice of Idaho voters.
Whether you support or oppose cannabis legalization isn't the point. The question is whether Idahoans should have the opportunity to vote on issues through the initiative process. HJR4 removes that opportunity for an entire category of issues.
