Friday nights Pie Auction was a great success, raising $3,370.00 for our Nutrition Center. Our sincerest gratitude to Friends Pickin, Tom Moss, Mark Roberts, Wayne Roderman, Warren Dement, Garret DeMent, and Leon Hampton, whose timing and talents are instrumental in “bringing in the people. Your contributions over the years have made a significant and much needed impact on our center and our seniors. We truly appreciate each and everyone of you! We would also like to thank our dedicated auctioneer Eric Mansfield, whose driving force consistently makes our pie auction the success it is. Special thanks to our auction helpers, Diane Roberts, and Patti Walker, our tellers, Krista Hampton, and Sandy Wakefield and Roberta Cook. And to our employees Karen Cook and Spring Baker who deserve special recognition for their dedication and hard work behind the scenes in preparation for the event, and making baked items to auction. Thank you Karen for making coffee, serving drinks, and being there to help thoughout the event, and to Spring, Karen and those who helped clean up and move the tables back. I could not have done it without you! Last but not least, we would like to thank those who made baked items or brought auction items, and those who generously purchased items or made a donation! We are truly grateful to be part of a community that always steps up when there is a need. God Bless each and everyone of you.
