Over the past couple of weeks, our farmers have reported that the most asked question from the community is: “what can I plant now? How do I get started?”
GOOD NEWS! It’s not too late and we will answer all those questions and more in our next class. We’re teaming up with and to spend some time in the garden going over late spring planting. Here’s what you’ll learn:
1. What to plant now for summer harvest
2. How to build a garden bed from scratch?
3. What plants are better to buy as transplants and which to direct seed?
4. How to keep those annoying pests and insects away from your garden.

There will be space for all your questions and you’ll get a chance to get your hands dirty!

This coming Sunday May 24th from 11 am to 12:30 pm! Check the link in our bio to RSVP

Our annual Mother's Day fundraiser and plant sale is coming up this Sunday, May 10th. We're excited to be collaborating again with the University of Georgia's Clayton County Extension Office and being hosted by Atlanta Harvest to provide you all with an opportunity to learn about our non-profits and to get involved in some community engagement. Our pride is to be of service to our community through education and opportunity using our 16+ years of experience in agriculture. If you want to learn more about volunteering, workshops, classes, or just overall know-how on agriculture, growing food and living a more sustainable lifestyle, then come and check out what Cultivating Community has to offer.

Atlanta Harvest will have plenty of plants for you all to stock up with: veggies for your garden, flowers for your yard, and some vendors as well selling a number of goods. 💚💚💚

There’s something powerful about turning what we throw away… into something that gives life 🌱

We’re excited to partner with University of Georgia Extension and Clayton County to bring this hands-on composting experience to the community — hosted right at Atlanta Harvest.

This isn’t just a workshop… it’s a chance to see how food scraps become living soil.
To understand what healthy soil really looks like.
And to learn something you can take back home and use right away.

🗓 Sunday, April 26th
⏰ 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
📍 3529 Anvil Block Rd, Ellenwood, GA

Come learn. Come build. Come reconnect with the process.

Healthy food shouldn’t be a luxury.
Through our partnership with Wholesome Wave Georgia, families using SNAP/EBT can now receive 50% off fresh, GA-grown vegetables — putting real nourishment back on the table during a time when many are struggling.

But to keep this life-changing support alive, we’re asking for your help.
Your donation allows us to:
Keep veggies affordable
Support local farmers
Strengthen food access in underserved communities

Every dollar you give has a direct impact on a family’s plate.
Thank you for standing with us in this work. 💚

Because community deserves access to fresh, healthy food.
This holiday season, we’re grateful for our partnership with Wholesome Wave Georgia, allowing us to offer 50% off local fruits and vegetables for neighbors receiving SNAP benefits.
Healthy food should never be out of reach — not during the holidays, not ever.

When systems fail, we go back to the soil.

The government shutdown has left thousands of families without food assistance,
but our farm is still growing — and every harvest means a family gets to eat fresh tonight.

We’re calling on our community to step into the field with us.
To pick, pack, and deliver vegetables grown with love straight from our soil to someone’s table.

This isn’t just farm work,it’s solidarity work.
It’s how we show that even when policy stalls, people keep moving.

Come volunteer with us on the farm.
Bring your hands, your heart, your hope.
Because when we grow food, we grow community.

SNAP Benefits Halted Until the Government Reopens.
Across Georgia, families who depend on monthly food assistance are being told their benefits may not come until the shutdown ends.

This means empty fridges. Empty lunchboxes.
And even emptier options for communities already living in food deserts.

We can’t control D.C.
But we can feed our neighbors. 🌻
