We had our February pack meeting last night where the kids learned what it means to be on the City Council, thanks to Josh Berg for being so informative and great with the kids!

We also learned how to fold the flag, what it means to be a good citizen and even help a mock election aka Dinner-lection for what the kids wanted for a special dinner treat at our next meeting. No surprise that the majority vote went to Domino's Pizza! 🍕

And of course the most anticipated portion of the night was the pinewood derby awards! Thank you to Endzone Bar and Grill, Firehouse Grille and Niche Books for their donations!

Wow, what a busy, fun packed weekend for the Pack! 🎉

On Sunday, we pulled off a triple-header event: our annual Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold Banquet, and Crossover Ceremony all in one action packed day! Since the Pinewood Derby is usually held on its own, combining all three made for a big undertaking, but an incredibly memorable one.

The excitement kicked off with the Scouts racing their cars, followed by our always popular Citizens Class, featuring siblings, parents, family members, and even a few kids from the Troop. After that, we added some friendly sibling-versus-sibling competition, both from within the Pack and beyond. It was a joy to watch the kids having an absolute blast… and just as fun to see the adults turn into kids again right alongside them! 😄

For those who may not be familiar, Blue and Gold is the birthday celebration of Scouting America and is often paired with the Crossover Ceremony, which honors our Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts as they cross from Cub Scouts into the Troop. This is a huge milestone and a proud moment for these Scouts, who have worked incredibly hard over the years to earn their advancements.

What an amazing day celebrating fun, family, and the achievements of our Scouts! 🏆⚜️

Now to tabulate the results and present the awards in a few weeks!

This past weekend our pack was able to use a former Scout family’s workshop to work on our pinewood derby cars.

It is so fun to watch the kids design their cars and take every day things and design them to be a car!

Yesterday some of our pack made some rice sock snowmen, snow-women, snow spiders, snow monsters and many more creative creatures! ⛄️

It’s fun to see them be handed a table full of craft items and see where their imaginations take them.

We had an awesome time visiting our local fire department! 🚒🧯

Our Scouts delivered handmade blankets to donate, toured the station, and even got some hands-on first aid lessons from the firefighters. 💛🩹

Proud of these kids for learning new skills and giving back to the community! Thank you Jodi and the Elko New Market Fire Relief Association for a great night!

We had our fall cleanup of Wagner park and our first rain gutter regatta this past week!

During our September pack meeting the kids all designed and made their own boats to race. It was so much fun seeing all the different designs the kids came up with.

During the races we had lots of adapters boats on the fly to see what would make them faster or less tippy. To the kids surprise, many times the simplest boats were the fastest.

The Elko New Market Pack is selling wreaths again this year. Sales from these wreaths help fund the adventures and activities that the pack does each year.

There are two ways you can order:

2. Order online

Instructions for online ordering:
1. Go to www.GiftItForward.com
2. Enter the fundraiser code of PK9325MN001
3. Enter the first and last name of the scout you are ordering for or just put Pack 9325
4. Add items to your cart and checkout, it’s that simple

Remember, the scout’s name you are wanting to benefit from your order is required when checking out to ensure they get credit for the sale.

Important Dates:

1. October 28th: The last day to place orders
2. December 15th: For online orders, pre-Orders begin shipping
3. Thanksgiving(ish): For orders placed in person with a scout, wreaths will be delivered to the pack and scouts will be delivering shortly after that.

Additional info - note that quantities are limited on fundraiser items. If an item sells out, it will be marked sold out on our website and you will not be able to continue to order that item. Get your orders in early to ensure what you want is available.

The freezie brigade was out in full force Saturday for the Fire Rescue Days parade.

If you missed the parade and need your freezie fix, no worries, come find us at the July 17th family fun night at Wagner park. We’ll have freezies and an everyone wins claw machine with prizes!
