WELCOME IN WEDNESDAY!! MABTR debuts Bertie, Gracie & Zahra!!
BERTIE is 3 YO breeder release. I am looking for a very special person to adopt me. I have had a rough start, as I was used as a breeding dog so wasn't treated like a pet or part of a family. I am just starting to learn how to "dog". I am not a dog you can just pick up and love on. Sometimes I will take a bone from my foster mom's hand and sometimes no. I do like an occasional scratch under the chin. If my foster mom picks me up and puts me beside her I will lay. I do like to chew on toys. I do not like the kennel and will chew up whatever is in it. I love to play with my foster sisters. I have a lot to learn about being a dog. I would rather not be around men and need a woman to adopt me. I need lots of love and most importantly time and patience.
GRACIE is 11 YO Boston/Pug mix whose owner moved overseas and could not take her along. She is house & leash trained, and eligible for our Golden Paws savings program. I require a home with a female dog or no dog. I am old girl who still has lots of love and spark to give a home. I enjoy walks. I know how to entertain myself. I enjoy hanging out with my human. They say i am a great cuddle bug. Love to be petted. Well mannered and gentle.
ZAHRA is 1 YO whose owner could no longer care for her. She is house & leash trained. I am an active, loving girl. Everyone who meets me tells me how sweet I am. I can be quite timid but when I get to run around outside, you’d never know. I love to run as fast as my legs will take me & smell all the things. I know how to sit, shake with both paws, lay down, & kennel. I really like to be told I am a Good Girl so I come running back when my foster mom calls me. I listen very well when I am told no. I don’t mind my kennel much, but sometimes I will whine & howl because I’m lonely. I enjoy to have the door open so I can take my bones in to chew on my bed. I love to chew, so I would do best with hard toys & bones to keep me entertained. I do love a good squeaky toy though! I am pretty unsure of new things & people, but with some encouragement I really love attention. I need a calm person who can show me things aren’t so scary. Once I realize, I don’t have much problem coming out of my shell. I have been going with my foster mom to work every day & I really enjoy being close to my human. She has a bed under her desk where I just sleep or chew my bones all day. I meet new people every day from under the desk, but I don’t come out to greet them. I just stick my head out so they can pet me. When I want some attention, I politely ask my foster mom to put me next to her in the office chair. I cozy up & go back to sleep until the end of the day. My perfect home is a calm environment that I can spend lots of time outside & will let me snuggle under the blankets at night. I would really like someone who could spend a lot of time with me. I do jump up to ask to be picked up on the couch or when I get excited for attention, so I would do best with no smaller kids who I could accidentally knock over.
