Meet Claire! 💜 We met up with this 2 year old cutie at Nebraska Medicine as she recovers from a kidney transplant. Claire loves Gabby’s Dollhouse, princesses, and the color purple.
For children facing extended hospital stays, healing is about more than medicine, it’s also about finding moments of joy, creativity, and connection along the way.
That’s why we exist! Through play, we can help brighten the journey, one day at a time.

Meet Aviana! 💜 Our Program Manager Christina and Board member Colleen delivered a Bag of Fun to this sweet 16 year old battling Crohn’s disease. She loves the 80’s, Broncos, comic books and penguins so we made sure to pack her Bag with all of that and more!
Treatment can put life on pause in ways that feel especially hard for teenagers. They should be hanging with friends, busy with school activities and chasing adventures. When treatment and hospital stays interrupt those experiences, we want young people to know they are seen, valued and deserving of laughter, connection, and joy every step of the way.

⛳️💚 What an incredible day celebrating the 5th Annual Birdies for Bags Golf Tournament!

We are beyond grateful to everyone who came out, played, sponsored, volunteered, laughed, and helped make this milestone event one to remember.

A very special THANK YOU goes to Landmark Performance Homes and Steve and Jana Faller, our presenting sponsors for ALL 5 years of this tournament! Your unwavering commitment and generosity have helped this event grow year after year. Not only have you supported the mission financially, but you’ve also helped bring sponsors, golfers, and supporters together to have fun while raising funds for an incredible cause. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you! 💜

We’d also like to thank all of our amazing sponsors and supporters, including Mortgage Specialists for bringing out the Canon, H&H Chevrolet for hosting a fantastic giveaway and Dale Elsasser for starting off the tournament with an amazing shotgun canon start! 🎉 We are thrilled and honored to be selected as one of the eight Flying Flags of Charity organizations for this year’s College World Series in Omaha!

Join us tomorrow evening at Omaha Baseball Village for the Opening Ceremonies as all eight nonprofit organizations are recognized and celebrated. This is an incredible opportunity for us to share our mission with visitors from across the country and be part of one of Omaha’s most exciting traditions.

As we celebrate the 5th Anniversary Birdies for Bags Golf Tournament, we want to extend our heartfelt THANKS to every sponsor who helped make this event possible. 💜

Your generosity and belief in our mission help us bring joy, comfort and meaningful experiences to children in Omaha area hospitals who are battling critical illness or mental health challenges. Because of your support, we’re able to deliver programs that brighten difficult days and remind kids and families that they are not alone.

Our golf tournament is just 2 days away, and we still need a few amazing volunteers to help make the day a success!

🏌️ Help run fun games at tee boxes🕙 Shift: 10:45 AM – 1:15 PM🌞 Yes, it’s going to be sunny—but don’t worry! We’ll have a tent for shade and plenty of water to keep you cool.

Whether you’re a golf fan, looking to give back, or just want to spend a few hours supporting a great cause, we’d love to have you join us. The games are fun, the atmosphere is energetic, and your help truly makes a difference.

Meet Ashton! 💜 We delivered a Bag of Fun full of her favorites like Trolls, dolls and the color pink to this precious 1 year old little girl battling intestinal failure. Her bag was delivered in her new portable wagon stroller that the family can now use to pull her around the hospital floor. Even the youngest patients experience fear, uncertainty and countless medical procedures, but one thing they understand is the JOY of toys, play, and feeling like a kid.
Our mission is to bring moments of normalcy, comfort and smiles into hospital rooms, reminding children and their families that laughter and play still have a place alongside treatment.

☀️🐸 Summer fun was in full swing today!

A huge THANK YOU to Fat Brain Toys for inviting us to be part of their Foam Parking Lot Party! Chuckles the Frog had an amazing time splashing through the foam, meeting so many wonderful kids, and enjoying all the smiles (and snow cones! 🍧).

We’re incredibly grateful that 15% of today’s sales were donated to support our organization and the work we do in our community. Your generosity helps us continue making a difference for the families we serve.

Thank you Union Omaha!! 💜 We love having volunteer groups out to help us prepare our mental health bags. This amazing team also jumped in breaking down boxes and tackling the “behind the scenes” tasks that keep our nonprofit running smoothly. While these jobs may seem small, they save our small staff valuable time and allow us to focus more energy on serving the children and families who need us most.

Meet Kaleb! 💜 We met up with this brain cancer warrior at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital. He loves fast cars, especially corvettes, listening to music and the Denver Broncos.

Delivering moments of joy during difficult health journeys is what we do best! Reminding these patients, especially teenagers that it’s okay to laugh through treatment and therapy. We love seeing your smile Kaleb and we hope that your Bag of Fun brought a bright light to your day!
