To be sure you're not being scammed by a group identifying themselves as Second Chance Small Dog Rescue (not us), you can go to our website, linked on the left panel, to see if the dog you are interested in is available through us. If it's not on our website, it's not. No need to call us to inquire about the dog or send a message. It's not our dog. Don't send money to any organization that requires a "Deposit" for the dog.

Pending Adoption! Lacy is available for adoption now! Her vet care is up to date, and she had a grooming recently. This little Pomeranian is 6 years old and weighs about 9 lbs. She's shy and quiet, sleeps all night in her crate, likes lap time, and is working on house training. Lacy needs continued work on leash training, as she doesn't know what to make of that foreign "thing" connected to her. So at this time, a FENCED (physical) potty area is required. Being a retired breeder, she will do best in a home with a confident canine friend to help her navigate and blossom. Jasper is awaiting his forever home! He is an active poodle mix with lots of love and affection to give! Jasper is about 6 years old and weighs 15 #. He's fully vetted and had a recent dental cleaning. No stinky breath!! He's making progress on house training, smart and eager to please, getting used to walking on a leash, plays well with other dogs. Jasper likes children and women who give him a little time to warm up. He struggles with trusting men, from our observation. So a home with an adult male will be considered, but we require not only a meet-n-greet but will offer a "trial" adoption arrangement to see how Jasper adjusts. BEWARE: Another FB page named Second Chance Small Dog Rescue has come to our attention. There's a screen shot below of a page that you may have seen. Just know that it's not US, and if you click on their profile, there's no indication of where they're located. Legit rescues will provide such info. If you read through the comments, the only response from the "rescue" is to "Send us a message." We were contacted by a woman who thought she was being promised the dog and was about ready to send the deposit requested. WE WILL NEVER ASK FOR MONEY AS A "DEPOSIT" TO HOLD A DOG. If you want to send us a message through Messenger, only use the link from our site. Or email us at [email protected].

We are certainly not the only rescue under this name. However, for your protection, you must become a sleuth. Click on their info and see if there are lots of posts, photos, and contact information.

ADOPTED! Daisy is a 6 year old female apricot miniature poodle. She weighs about 9.5 pounds, is up to date on shots, heart worm negative and working on house breaking. Daisy will be spayed prior to being adopted. She would be a good companion for an owner!
