We want to celebrate and recognize a special volunteer in our Community Cupboard - 🎉 - Minnie, our amazing Client Coordinator is retiring in September! We are so grateful for her and her dedication helping to schedule folks for appointments. Thank you, Minnie!! ❤💜💙

⚠ But now we have a need for a new Client Coordinator! ⚠

This volunteer position contacts clients to schedule times to come to the Community Cupboard to shop. The position will require a time commitment of about 20 minutes a day, but no more than 3 hours weekly. Some familiarity with Google calendar and Google Sheets is needed. The Community Cupboard will provide a laptop. The job can be performed remotely.

We are so grateful to Hans Schreiber and to Leo Kob Co. for the food drive they held for our Cupboard! Their delivery helps stock our shelves to provide food for our neighbors in need. We appreciate all that you do!

The Clothing Closet (previously known as the Clothing Barn) is looking for volunteers to help with sorting and organizing clothes and for shopping assistants. Volunteer shifts are every Wednesday from 9 am -12 pm, the first and 3rd Thursdays from 9 am -12 pm, the 4th Wednesday evening from 5:15 to 7:30 pm and the 4th Saturday from 9 am -12 pm. We're so grateful to Dr. White and his passion for feeding those in need! His "White Out Hunger" event raised $2,500 for our Community Cupboard of Elizabethtown in addition to other organizations. Thank you Dr. White for your generosity!

We are truly grateful to the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren for their food drive they held the month of May for our Community Cupboard of Elizabethtown! Their donations helped keep food on our shelves for our Elizabethtown neighbors. Thanks to David and Isabelle for dropping off the donations!!

This week we partnered with County Career and Technology Center Mt. Joy Carpenter program. We are so thankful that they came out and replaced our basement/Bilko Door steps in our apartment building on campus.

The door, which will be Phase 2 of this little project, will be installed at a later date. They all did a great job, and we had about 10 students join in!

On this Mother's Day weekend, we are grateful again to the Elizabethtown USPS for their tremendous food drive they held today for our Community Cupboard of Elizabethtown! We're also grateful for the USPS crew and for the Home Improvement crew for their help in loading and unloading all of the donations! It is a huge effort and we are so grateful for your support!!

We're building a strong maintenance team with Plumbing, Painting, HVAC, Electrical, Handyman Skills, and related roles to keep our buildings running smoothly for our programs, partners, and their clients.
