Masonic Children’s Home of Pennsylvania

Masonic Children’s Home of Pennsylvania Within five cottages, the Masonic Children's Home provides a supportive, homelike environment for 40

For children growing up in an unstable environment, finding a secure home with love, support and guidance is life-changing. Since 1913, Pennsylvania Freemasons have provided a safe haven and changed the lives of more than 2,000 children at the Masonic Children's Home. The youth enjoy an attractive, homelike environment with spacious bedrooms and nutritious home-cooked meals. They receive clothing,

complete medical care and academic tutoring, and have the opportunity to experience an independent living program and pursue higher education. They attend the Elizabethtown Area School District, programs conducted by Intermediate Unit 13, and the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center. Higher education is an opportunity provided through the Masonic Charities and strongly supported by the Masonic Homes/Patton School Alumni Association (an organization open to any alumni of the Patton School and Masonic Children's Home). Each youth is sponsored by a Masonic Lodge but does not need to have any Masonic affiliation in the family

We started celebrating Halloween early with a Halloween party on campus! Youth worked together on a pumpkin-decorating contest and a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt and relay races. Afterward, students and staff enjoyed burgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches from Scoops Ice Cream and Grille's food truck and s'mores around the fire pit. (Thanks to the Order of the Eastern Star for donating s'more supplies!)
Have a safe and happy Halloween this week.

Officers from Good Samaritan Lodge No. 336, Gettysburg, presented a donation check from the silent auction they hosted in April. The event raised $6,000 total, split between the Masonic Children's Home and Adams County Children's Advocacy Center. We appreciate their generosity! The second annual Go Blue Charity Auction is scheduled for April 26, 2025, so watch for more information on that event in the future.
