Members of the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security are holding a shadow hearing in City of Newark, NJ - City Hall on all the violations at Delaney Hall - how it never should have opened in the first place and all the rights violations now occurring inside.

Make the Road New Jersey 🦋 members have joined the press room to support the witnesses providing testimony. We must claw back funding for ICE and CBP and free them all people detained.

This weekend we kicked off our annual Make the Road New Jersey 🦋 Leadership School!

If we’re not growing, we’re dying. And to grow, new members must build trust with one another beyond the organizer.

Escuela de Liderazgo aims to develop the leadership potential of members to engage and support new members. This summer training program is critical to our theory of change - our collective liberation is found in each other. Members develop not only tangible organizing tools but how systems of oppression have shaped our lives how to build campaigns that include all of us.
