Are you voting by mail in the upcoming election?

Make sure to return your mail-in ballot as early as possible — and use a ballot drop box if you can.

Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked or placed in a ballot drop box before 8:00pm on Election Day. Because of staffing cuts and delays at the post office, there’s no guarantee that your ballot will be postmarked on the day it is received.

You can vote early NOW through Sunday, November 1.

Polls are open from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. now until to Saturday, and then from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can vote at ANY early voting location in your county. For more information, visit nj.vote.gov.

ICYMI: Workers packing HelloFresh boxes in Newark were refused bathroom breaks and threatened with ICE when they spoke up.

One of the workers involved in the lawsuit now suffers from permanent incontinence issues.

“There were many times I had to hold it for hours because they would note down the time you went in,” said Luis Penafiel, plaintiff, in an interview with The Guardian. “I had to go to the clinic to a urologist because I started experiencing incontinence, as I had to hold it for a long time and ended up getting infections.”

Make the Road New Jersey 🦋 is part of the legal team represent the workers, who are suing HelloFresh and three staffing agencies.

This week, ahead of the State Invest Council hearing, members of Make the Road New Jersey 🦋 traveled to the Statehouse to call on legislators to divest more than $138 million from Palantir.

Companies like Palantir make money from harvesting our private, personal data and handing it over to ICE so they can track us.

The workers whose retirement savings are at stake are calling for divestment, including CWA District 1.

A2003 & S470 would prohibit the State from investing pension and annuity funds in companies that coollect data and surveil individuals in order to determine their citizenship and immigration status.

Esta semana, antes de la audiencia del Consejo Estatal de Inversiones, miembros de Make the Road New Jersey 🦋 fueron al capitolio estatal para hablar con los legisladores a retirar más de 138 millones de dólares invertidos en Palantir.

Empresas como Palantir obtienen ganancias mediante la recopilación de nuestros datos personales y privados, los cuales entregan al ICE para que pueda rastrearnos.
