(FMBA Local 9) is a community organization that represents and promotes the interests of the firefighters of the City of Elizabeth, NJ Fire Department. FMBA Local 9 is a branch of the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association. The content of this page are the opinions and interests of FMBA Local 9 and its members, not of the City of Elizabeth, NJ or the Elizabeth Fire Department.

The funeral service for our brother, Firefighter Robert "Bobby Allen, will be on:
Tuesday, March 26, 2024, 10:00 am at:
The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist,
381 Grand St,
Paterson, NJ 07505,
corner of Main & Grand, Paterson.
In respect to Bobby's wishes, there will not be a funeral home visitation.

All uniformed personnel are asked to assemble in Class A Dress Blue Uniforms at 0900hrs in front of the Cathedral.
Parking for all attending the funeral will be available at the Parking Authority Garage #10 on Curtis Place & Ellison St.
Shuttle service from there to the Cathedral will begin at 0830hrs.

It is with deep regret we announce the Line of Duty Death of a Plainfield Local 7 Firefighter, who died while operating at a fire this morning.

President Donnelly has been in Plainfield since this morning, our CISM team in Plainfield to assist their members, our Memorial Committee is aware, and we will continue to work with and support our Brothers and Sisters in Plainfield Local 7 and Plainfield Fire Officers Local 207.

Yesterday off duty Elizabeth Fire Department members helped to make sandwiches and prepare lunch for Assemblywoman Annette QuijanoAnnual “Hunger Doesn’t Take A Vacation” program. With the help of other volunteers from the Lions Club and Bristol Myers Squibb over 1000 lunches were prepared.
