Hi Everyone! This is a special post as we are advocating for a very special Kitty named Duke. He is 2 years old.
He was abandoned in a trailer that has no electricity. He was left behind without a source of food and support.

Duke is not a kitty in our foster program but we are assisting two kind people who desperately want to get him out of a terrible situation.

He will be current on vetting for neuter and rabies plus fvrcp vaccinations. He is being treated for common parasites as a precaution.

Duke is a sweet and happy boy who needs a family and indoor home.
Only a $50 fee will be required to help offset the vetting costs that the finders will fund.
This rescue will not receive any donation or fees for this handsome boy. We are simply hoping to be a bridge to a safe and loving home.

To everyone who donated for the special care of sweet Gabriel, we wanted to share how great he's doing.
First picture is his condition at intake. The other pictures are from this morning.
This is an incredibly sweet kitty. He loves to roll and flop and has an adorable purr meow.
We still have work to do as he has corneal scarring. We expected that and that is now being treated. He has truly been a joy to love.
Once his eye treatment is completed, he will be ready for a home and family of his very own.
Thanks once again to EVERYONE who donated for his care and made this journey possible.

We have had so many requests for emergency intake that it's completely overwhelming. We are at high critical capacity. This sweet kitten is named Dahlia. To leave her in a homeless situation would have meant suffering and eventual blindness. We couldn't let that happen. She's in our foster care and being treated for several things. She deserves a happy and healthy life.

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mamas who love their babies that are 2 legged or 4 legged!
Here is one of our favorite Mama kitties. Gracie Anne was an incredible and devoted Mama. She wouldn't eat until her babies were done eating. She loved them with an unusual passion. It was difficult to separate her kittens from her even when they were old enough to be adopted because she would cry for them and refuse to eat. So we gave her more time with them and eventually she was able to accept they were growing up. The kittens were adopted together to a wonderful home. Their human Mama is giving so much love. Gracie Anne was adopted to another wonderful home and her human Mama nurtured her and understood she had to overcome being separated from her babies. All 3 kitties are thriving now. We should always respect and appreciate that animals have feelings which may a bit different than us but they are real nonetheless.

We are looking for volunteers to join our Adoption Window Care Team at the Lexington,SC Petsmart on Hwy 378/Sunset Blvd. You must be at least 21 years of age.

We have an amazing volunteer team who perform cleaning and feeding tasks as well as help monitor kitty well being. They also provide playtime for each kitty. We have a.m. and p.m. volunteers.

Our biggest need right now is for Sunday morning.

UPDATE on Sweet Gabriel!
THANKS once again to everyone who donated and sent prayers. Your support makes our work possible.
Gabriel has been in our care for two weeks and has made alot of progress.
On rescue intake, he had alot of bite and scratch wounds. His right front leg had a serious wound which was painful and became swollen. He was exhausted and feverish and his eyes horribly inflamed. There were ear mites and fleas.
His wounds have largely healed and fur is growing back. He makes biscuits when he gets gentle petting. He a soft purr and a very gentle personality. One day when he's well, this amazing fella will bring some family alot of love.
We still have work to do to address the damage to his eyes. The corneal scarring may result in some vision loss but he's safe and loved and is getting all the care he needs. He deserves a great life and a forever home.

We are looking for volunteers to join our Adoption Window Care Team. Our kitties are in the Lexington PETSMART adoption center.
Our volunteer team provides cleaning, feeding and nurturing care twice daily. The team is a critical part of our adoption rate success and there is a sense of working together so our kitties get great homes.
We need volunteers for a.m. and p.m. shifts. Please FB PM us or email us at [email protected].
Must be at least 21 years of age.
There is great joy in being on a team that's an essential part of our rescue.

Kittens are cute, but let's talk about the unsung heroes that rescues save, the wise wonderful adult cats! While our kittens get adopted in a minute, these sweet souls are often overlooked, and they deserve love, and a life outside of a cage and place to call home.
