🐾 SPAY & NEUTER DAY 🐾

It’s a big day today for Peggy’s foster crew! 😻

Daisy, Mae, Natalie, Max & Bridgie are ALL at the vet today for their spay and neuter surgeries! 🙌🏼

These five came to us from the El Campo Animal Shelter after their feline room was full, and thanks to our wonderful foster Peggy stepping up to foster, they’ve been able to leave shelter life behind and enjoy all the comforts of a foster home while getting ready for their next chapter. ✨

Today is another BIG step toward that next chapter — five surgeries in one day! 😳😂

Send Daisy, Mae, Natalie, Max & Bridgie some good vibes for smooth surgeries and easy recoveries today. ❤️🐱

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Caturday than with some feline adoption happiness! 🎉

These sweet faces have officially traded rescue life for FOREVER HOME life! 🏡🐾

There’s nothing better than seeing our B4RAW felines in the arms of their new families, knowing they are loved, spoiled and right where they belong. ❤️

And a big thank you to our friends at HSSPV for loving our B4RAW kiddos when they arrive in Colorado and helping them find their forever families. Rescue truly takes a village — from Texas all the way to Colorado! ❤️🐾

Congratulations to our adopted kitties and their wonderful families! We wish you many years of purrs, cuddles, kitty shenanigans and happily ever afters. 😻

OUR VILLAGE DID IT! 💜🚐🐾

We set out on this Miles of Hope journey with a $25,000 fundraising goal and one enormous hope — to get B4RAW back on the road.

You didn’t just get us there. You took us right past the finish line.

When our ole’ faithful transport van broke down and our lifesaving transports suddenly came to a stop, we knew replacing her wasn’t going to be easy. For years that van traveled more than a million miles, carrying thousands of precious lives from homeless to forever.

But when we needed help getting back on the road, our village showed up.

Every single gift mattered. The online donations. The checks that arrived in the mail. The gifts of every size. Every share of our posts. Every comment. Every message of encouragement. Every person who told a friend. Every person who believed in what we do and wanted to make sure these lifesaving transports could continue.

To our two incredibly generous matching grantors — thank you for believing in B4RAW, believing in our mission, and giving our village an incredible opportunity to make their generosity go even farther. Because our village answered that challenge, both matching grants are fully unlocked. 💜

And to every donor who chose to give anonymously — while we may not know your names, please know that the difference your generosity made will never be anonymous to us. ❤️

There were people who gave $5 and people who gave much more. There were longtime supporters and people we had never heard from before. There were people who couldn’t donate but shared our posts again and again so someone else might see them.

Every one of you helped move that little van another mile. 🚐💜🐾

And now… she made it all the way HOME. 🙌🏼

The Miles of Hope meter may have reached the end of the road, but the real journey is just beginning.

Now we find the right van. We get her ready for the road. And before long, we’ll be loading those crates again and heading down the highway with some very precious passengers aboard — each one on their way toward the life they’ve been waiting for.

DUNCAN 🩵🐾

Some of you may remember Duncan from when we rescued him back in March. That first photo tells quite a story. His coat was severely matted, with mats pulling painfully against his skin, and it was obvious this little guy hadn’t had an easy past. Because the matting was so severe and painful, Duncan had to be lightly sedated so he could safely be shaved down and finally get some much-needed relief.

Fast forward to today…

His coat had grown back and it was time for Duncan’s first grooming appointment since his March shave-down. But things are a little different now. Since coming to us, we’ve learned Duncan has a severe heart condition, making sedation for routine grooming simply not an option. And he has a small attitude - ok maybe a big attitude at times 😆

And Duncan isn’t exactly the easiest grooming client. 😂 He can be VERY sensitive about having his face and back end touched and has some pretty firm opinions about his personal space. Given what he went through before coming to us, we completely understand.

So this grooming appointment was a pretty big deal!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Dee at Your Furry-Godmother Grooming Spa for being so incredibly kind and patient with our boy. ❤️🐾 She took her time, worked at Duncan’s pace and got him looking absolutely HANDSOME!🙌

And yes… we were all on pins and needles waiting to see how this grooming adventure was going to go! 😬😂

But Duncan did GREAT! He even enjoyed a special pup treat afterward for completing his grooming session without “nibbling” on Dee! 😂👏 We’re very hopeful that with each grooming session, Duncan will become more comfortable and learn that maybe grooming isn’t quite so terrible after all and maybe even open up his “personal space bubble” a bit!

Duncan is also one of our B4RAW “lifers.” Because of his heart condition and his behavioral quirks, he’ll remain in foster care with Melissa for as long as he needs to.

Duncan may have a little extra attitude, and sometimes loving him means loving him on Duncan’s terms. And that’s perfectly okay. ❤️

Our quirky little guy is safe, loved, spoiled and enjoying his life — attitude and all. 💜🐾

Our B4RAW village has done something absolutely incredible. The love and support you have poured into this campaign has truly meant more to us than we could ever put into words. Every donation, every share, every encouraging message — YOU are the reason we have made it this far. We are so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. 💜🐾

Together, you have helped us raise $22,938 — 91.75% of our $25,000 goal! ❤️ That means only 8.25% remains — just $2,062 stands between us and fully unlocking our matching funds!
