We are also excited to introduce The Huddle, our new monthly one-pager that will be distributed during club meetings and is designed to help youth build skills, explore careers, and get involved in 4-H in a fun and easy-to-read format.

Want to give back, earn service hours, and have some fun at the Andouille Festival? We've got the perfect opportunity! Join St. John Parish 4-H as we help make one of our community's biggest events a success. Volunteers can assist with festival beautification and recycling efforts, help keep Andouille Run/Walk participants hydrated, and celebrate runners at the finish line by handing out medals.

As a thank-you for volunteering, participants will receive:

Sister 2 Sister is back this Saturday, September 5, at noon at the Reserve Library! Looking for a place to connect, grow, and have fun? Sister 2 Sister is a mentoring program for young ladies led by 4-H alum Kori Williams, who is giving back to the community through mentorship and encouragement.

The wait is over! This week, we'll kick off our first club meetings of the school year and begin another season of learning, leadership, service, and fun. Whether you're a returning member or thinking about getting involved for the first time, there are plenty of opportunities waiting for you. Check out this week's schedule and get ready because it's officially Game On: Skills for Life in St. John Parish 4-H! We're excited to welcome our members back and can't wait to see what this year has in store.

St. John Parish 4-H is exploring a new opportunity for homeschooled youth, virtual school students, and youth who do not currently have access to a school-based 4-H club. We are considering a 4-H Explorers program for youth in grades 1-6 that would provide hands-on learning, STEM activities, agriculture experiences, leadership development, service projects, and opportunities to build new friendships.

Before moving forward, we want to hear from families. Complete our interest survey and help us determine the level of interest, preferred meeting times, and activities that would be most valuable for your child.

While this survey focuses on a potential opportunity for youth in grades 1-6, youth in grades 7-12 are encouraged to get involved through the St. John Parish 4-H Jr. Leader Club, which offers leadership, service, travel, and personal growth opportunities throughout the year.

The St. John 4-H Esports Club is kicking off this fall and we're looking for gamers, teammates, strategists, and future leaders to join us. Whether you're already competitive or just enjoy gaming, this club is about more than what's happening on the screen. It's about building communication skills, working as a team, developing leadership abilities, and learning how to compete with character and sportsmanship.

This is your opportunity to connect with other gamers from across the parish, sharpen your skills, and prepare for regional and state 4-H esports competitions.
