ATTENTION CoastCon Friends & Fans, the pack has spoken and it is time to begin the "News You Can Use" regular feature updates that spotlight some of the great people, events, and surprises coming your way this coming CoastCon 49 in March 2027. For our first spotlight update, we are incredibly excited and honored to share with you all a look at our CoastCon 49 Author Guest of Honor- award-winning and multiple international best-selling author, Patricia Briggs-
Patricia Briggs is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of both the Mercy Thompson series and the Alpha and Omega series; she has written over thirty books to date and has no intention of stopping! In addition to her two urban fantasy series, she has written fantasy novels, short stories in several anthologies, and also a series of comic books and graphic novels based on her Mercy Thompson and Alpha and Omega series.
In addition to writing books, Patty has several cats, dogs, and operates her Arabian horse ranch. She foolishly believes she is their owner, but her pampered horses are absolutely aware that she is wrapped around their dainty hooves. Patty calls her Arabians the cats of the equine world, because they do share a lot of feline attributes, including mischievous senses of humor and the ability to carry a grudge. As the lone human in the midst of many, many four-legged children, Patty stays quite busy, so we’re very fortunate that she remembers she has ten digits for typing out all of her wonderful stories!
