Meet Gemini!! Gemini is a 3 year old unspayed female. I don't know what this precious girl has been through, but looking into her eyes, you can almost feel how badly she wants someone to love her. She was found after what appears to be being clipped by a car. She has road rash, and there appears to be asphalt stuck to her side. She is hurting, scared, and confused — yet somehow, she still has nothing but love to give. And those eyes. She looks at you with the saddest, most soulful little face, as if she's silently asking, “Am I safe now? Is someone finally going to keep me?” She knows multiple commands. She is eager to please and will do just about anything for a treat. Despite whatever happened to her, she is still looking for affection. She still wants to trust. She still wants to be loved. That absolutely breaks my heart. She didn't ask to be hit. She didn't ask to be abandoned. And she certainly doesn't deserve to spend another day wondering if anyone is coming for her. She needs someone who will look past the road rash, past whatever happened to her, and see the beautiful soul underneath it all. If you can foster, rescue, or help in ANY way, please reach out. Meet Tini!! Tini is a 2 year old unspayed female. I bet she weighs 20 pounds at the most, although she could stand to gain a few pounds but not much. This tiny little girl was found all alone on a big, busy road, sitting on the side and completely vulnerable to being hit. I can’t stop thinking about how many people must have driven past her. How many cars passed by while she waited, scared and confused, hoping someone would notice her. Thankfully, a kind woman and her little daughter saw her and stopped. They picked her up and got her out of the road before something terrible happened. She is SO tiny. At first, she was understandably unsure and scared. But then something beautiful happened. She met another dumped dog, and suddenly her little personality began to shine. That sweet little girl came out of her shell, and we got to see the dog she really is — loving, playful, curious, and full of so much life. She is just a tiny baby who wants to feel safe and loved. She didn't ask to be dumped. She didn't ask to be alone. She didn't ask to sit beside a dangerous road waiting for someone to care. But someone DID care. And now we need to keep that promise to her. WE NEED A RESCUE AND A COMMITTED FOSTER FOR THIS LITTLE GIRL. Tini will need to be fully vetted. She needs someone willing to say, “I’ve got you. You’re safe now.” Someone who will give her the chance to discover what it feels like to have a family instead of being another forgotten dog left behind. Meet Mariposa!! Mariposa is an unspayed 8 month old puppy. She is about 30/35 pounds. Someone looked into this innocent puppy's eyes... and still chose to leave her behind. Sweet Mariposa was dumped on a lonely country road with three other dogs, two who appear to be her siblings. We are still desperately searching for them, hoping they are alive and waiting to be found.
Mariposa didn't run away from people. She didn't growl. She didn't hide. She walked right up, as if she was hoping someone would finally help her. As if she still believed humans could be kind. She is only a puppy. She should be chasing butterflies, playing with toys, and falling asleep knowing she's loved, not wondering why the people she trusted abandoned her on a road where every passing vehicle could have been her last. She loves people. She loves other dogs. Her heart is still full of love despite everything she has been through. She may be off that dangerous road, but she is still not safe. Without a rescue, her future is uncertain, and this sweet baby deserves so much more than another heartbreaking chapter. Mariposa needs a rescue to give her the second chance she's been waiting for. Meet Ernest! Ernest is a senior intact male. Ernest came into animal control as a stray. He's in decent body condition, but it's clear he's been through a lot. He appears to have mange, has a growth on one of his hind legs, and a very large tumor on his left ear. He's a senior, and I don't know how old he is or what his future holds. What I do know is this... His tail never stopped wagging!! The entire time I was with him, despite everything he's carrying, Ernest was nothing but happy. He leaned in for love, soaked up every bit of attention, and reminded me that even after everything life has thrown at him, his spirit is still shining. He deserves the chance to be seen by a veterinarian. He needs senior blood work to see what he's facing, treatment for his mange, and if he's healthy enough, evaluation and possibly surgery to remove the tumor on his ear. Only then will we know what kind of future he has. Maybe he has weeks left. Maybe months. Maybe even years. None of us can know that today. But what I do know is that Ernest deserves more than spending his final days alone in an animal control kennel without anyone fighting for him. He deserves comfort. He deserves kindness. He deserves to know what it feels like to be loved. I'm asking for your help to give Ernest that chance. Harley has already been through more than any dog ever should. Now all she needs is someone to finally choose her forever. Harley was rescued from a bad situation, only to be left behind all over again. The people who had her packed up and moved away, leaving her in someone's garage and asking them to find her another home. Through no fault of her own, she now finds herself in an overwhelmed animal control office, waiting and hoping someone will see the incredible dog she truly is. Despite everything she's been through, Harley hasn't given up on people. She's the happiest little short stack you'll ever meet, with a heart full of love and a constant desire for attention. Her tail keeps wagging, even after life has let her down. She'll need a patient foster to help her polish her leash manners, but that's a small task compared to the lifetime of love she'll give in return. He is missing some fur, which appears to be consistent with flea dermatitis and will need the care a rescue can provide.
