OUR KENNELS ARE FULL. OUR RESCUE PARTNERS ARE FULL. AND OUR DOGS ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. PLEASE HELP US FIND A WAY.
Please stop scrolling for just a moment. We need you to hear us. We need you to share this. And most of all, we need new rescue partners to help save the dogs sitting in our kennels right now. Imagine being a dog who has already experienced the uncertainty of not knowing where you belong. Maybe you were lost. Maybe you were abandoned. Maybe the only life you've ever known has been one of uncertainty. Then, finally, you end up somewhere safe. You have a roof over your head. You have protection from the dangers outside. You have people who are trying to help you. But you don't know that the kennels are filling up. You don't know that the facility is running out of space. You don't know that your future may depend on someone you have never met deciding to give you a chance. Waiting for someone to see you. Waiting for someone to choose you. Waiting for someone to give you the chance to be more than a dog in a kennel. We are desperately trying to find that someone. We are a small, rural animal control facility. We don't have endless kennels, a large building, or unlimited resources. We have a small team of three people doing everything we can for the dogs who come through our doors. Unlike some of the surrounding counties, we do not leave dogs roaming the streets when there is no room. We cannot look the other way and leave them vulnerable to being hit by a car, attacked, injured, or worse. When a dog needs help, we do our best to bring them somewhere safe. So we take them in. We give them shelter. We protect them from the dangers outside. We give them a chance. But our facility fills up. And when every kennel is occupied, we are faced with a heartbreaking reality. Dogs end up on a deadline simply because there is no space left. Not because they aren't lovable. Not because they have nothing to offer. Not because they couldn't become someone's best friend. Not because they don't deserve to live. Because there is nowhere for them to go. These are not just kennel numbers. They are not just names on a list. They are living, breathing souls who deserve the opportunity to become someone's whole world. They could be the dog who curls up beside you after the hardest day of your life. The dog who makes your children laugh. The dog who rides sh***un on every adventure. The dog who finally knows what it feels like to sleep in a warm home, surrounded by people who will never abandon them. They could be someone's everything. But they have to get out of our kennels to have that chance. And right now we desperately need help making that happen. We do our best to assess every dog who comes into our care. Three of us work to observe their behavior and personalities so we can share what we learn and help identify appropriate placements. We also believe in being honest about our limitations. We are a holding facility, not a full-service shelter, and we do not have the setup to cat-test incoming dogs. We will always be transparent about what we know and what we cannot confirm. Our local rescue partners have helped us tremendously. We are grateful for every dog they have helped us save. But they are full. The surrounding counties are struggling, too, and the rescues closest to us simply do not have room to take more dogs right now. We understand. We know rescues are overwhelmed. We know fosters are stretched thin, donations are limited, and there are more dogs needing help than there are available spaces. We are not blaming anyone. We know so many people are fighting the same battle. But while everyone is full, our dogs are still here. And their need for help doesn't disappear just because there is nowhere left to put them. That is why we are reaching beyond our usual network. WE NEED NEW RESCUE PARTNERS. We are asking rescue organizations, foster-based rescues, and people with connections to legitimate rescue groups to please reach out. We need new relationships. New opportunities. New pathways to safety for the dogs in our care. We are not asking one rescue to save them all. We are asking for someone to help us find the people who might be able to save one. Because one dog pulled means one kennel opens. One kennel opens, and we may be able to help the next dog who desperately needs somewhere safe to land. One new rescue connection could change the outcome for dogs who otherwise may have no options. Sometimes the difference between life and death isn't whether a dog deserves to be saved. It's whether someone has room to save them. And that is a reality that breaks our hearts. We don't want to look at a dog and see a deadline. We want to see a future. We want to imagine the home they could have, the family they could love, and the life they could live if only someone would give them the opportunity. We want to keep saying yes to dogs who need us. But we cannot keep doing it without help.

Please don't assume someone else will share it. Please don't assume the right rescue will find us on its own. YOU could be the connection that saves a life. Behind every kennel door is a dog who has no idea why their future is uncertain. They don't understand overcrowding. They don't understand rescue capacity. They don't understand why there isn't a place for them. They only have the chance we are trying so hard to give them. We are people in a small, rural facility trying to do right by the dogs who come through our doors. We cannot save them all, but we are not ready to stop fighting for them. We need more people in our corner. We need more rescues to know we are here. We need more doors to open before the ones in front of our dogs close. OUR DOGS ARE NOT ASKING FOR THE WORLD. THEY ARE ASKING FOR A CHANCE TO LIVE IT. Please help us find the rescue partners who can give them that chance. Share this farther than you think it needs to go. Tag every rescue you can think of.
