Last month we started a plastic beer tops collection initiative and at last count we have collected and delivered 119 of these reusable beer carriers to Island Hoppin' Brewery. Thanks to everyone for participating and allowing us to reuse another material within our own community. Look for the collection bin on the z-wall for these 4- and 6-pack plastic snap-on can tops.

ORS/The Exchange will be offering Home Composting Classes again!

Tickets are $75 each and include:
- (1) 82 gallon FreeGarden® EARTH compost bin with a locking lid, harvesting door, rodent-proof bottom screen, and anchoring pins (a $150.00+ value) and
- (1) instructional class on May 22 or May 23.

The next Hazardous Waste Round-up will be held on Saturday, June 20th from 10am to 2pm.

Bring your household hazardous waste to The Exchange for this FREE collection event. Exchange staff and volunteers will be there to help unload your vehicle.

NO paints or stains will be accepted at this event. Those can be recycled anytime for free at The Exchange.

We also will NOT be accepting liquid fuels like gasoline & diesel at the June event, but will be able to accept them at our next event, currently scheduled for October 3rd, 2026.
