Pack 29 will be set up at Forks, Shawnee, and Cheston Elementary School Open House events this week, and we'd love for you to stop by and say Hi!

If you were a scout and looking to enroll your child, or if you've ever been curious about scouting, this is a great opportunity to get some face time with our scouts and their families. We'll have some pictures, pinewood derby cars, and scout books on the table for kids to look at, along with a Parent Info cheat sheet that will tell you a little bit about our pack!

Pack 29 families, here is a quick update on the schedule for today's graduation ceremony!

Over the last couple of days, I've gotten a lot of feedback from leaders and scout families who have schedule conflicts with the first half of our meeting today due to sports or other commitments, so we are going to move some things around.

The meeting will still start at 2:00 PM, but we are going to begin with the picnic, games, and other activities. The only adjustment we're making is to move the graduation ceremony portion of our meeting to 4:15 PM. So, our schedule looks something like this:

1:00-2:00 PM: Setup, start cooking

2:00-4:15 PM: Games, picnic, activities

4:15-5:00 PM: Graduation ceremony

5:00-?? PM: Open time for activities (or head home)

I know that some scouts still have a couple more days of school, while others are already on summer break, so after the graduation ceremony, we'll leave the gaga ball pit and other activities out for scouts and families who want to stick around.

With this schedule change, your scouts do not need to arrive in their Class A shirts, but they should still bring them along for the ceremony. They can arrive in their Class B t-shirts until it's time to begin the ceremony.

Pre-Camp Swim Test Opportunity * Sign-Up Required!

Troop 29 will be hosting a pre-camp Scouting America swim test at the Palmer Pool, on Saturday, June 13th, and is extending the opportunity to our Pack 29 and Troop 2019 Scouts & Scouters.

This is a great opportunity to attempt/complete the test in advance of camp. Those unable to attend or unable to complete the test will have an additional opportunity upon arrival at summer camp....

Pack 29 was fortunate to be able to participate in the Easton PA Official Memorial Day Parade again this year.

I can't overstate how proud we are of our scouts for giving this event this respect it deserves and for representing our local scouting community so well!

Thank you to everyone who braved the rain and to Bob Obermeyer for inviting us to be part of something so special!

Congratulations to our Assistant Cubmaster, and Eagle Scout, Stephen Schleig, who was recently selected as the recipient of the 2026 National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) Bridge the Gap Award!

The award is considered one of the nation’s most respected honors in the field of school based policing and recognizes School Resource Officers and school police professionals who demonstrate leadership, mentorship, professionalism, relationship building, and dedication to students and their communities.

Earlier this year, he was also recognized as one of Lehigh Valley's Most Influential People for his life-saving actions at Cheston Elementary and for his efforts to organize National Leadership Pizza Day for the school district and Operation Warm event last November, where over 300 coats were collected for students in need.
