Forks Community families, our Assistant Cubmaster, and Cheston Elementary Resource Officer, Stephen Schleig needs your help!

Officer Schleig has organized the second annual winter coat drive for children in our community through the Operation Warm program.

Their next coat drive is this Sunday, 11/1, from 12-3 at Cottingham Field, and he is looking for some volunteers to help with setup, coat fittings, and cleanup!

If you're able to help in any capacity, even for an hour, please DM us so we can put you in touch with Officer Schleig, or you can reach out to Stephen Schleig directly on Facebook!

Scouting For Food information.
On November 7th and 8th scouts will go together and drop fliers to a route of homes in Forks Township. This is the pickup route to following week Saturday November 14.

On Saturday November 14 after curbside pickups boxes will be organized, packed at Arndt Church and dropped to Salvation Army.

We will need help on all of these days. Specific times to follow and sign up information.

Country Meats meat sticks is a fundraiser we as a pack do all year long. All money raised goes into the individual scout account and will pay for that scout to go camping or dues or any other expenses.

Eg if Oliver earns $40, it's his $40 to use for whatever comes up next.

Our next pack meeting is this Sunday, 10/11, at 2:00 PM. This will be our Scout Skills Day!

Registration is still open for the Stargazing Campout. Please email me ([email protected]) with names of campers and any dietary restrictions. I attached the flyer with some basic information, but I'll send out a more detailed "info sheet" 7-10 days ahead of the trip.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are opting to postpone the campout portion of our meeting until another weekend.

We will still have all of our other activities from 4:00 - 10:00 PM, including the games, picnic, awards ceremony, and movie. The only thing that we are postponing is the tent camping.

I've been watching the forecast, and we are in store for a beautiful evening. However, there is a high chance of rain (up to 0.5") and a possibility of thunderstorms overnight.

Pack 29 families, here is a quick update on the schedule for today's graduation ceremony!

Over the last couple of days, I've gotten a lot of feedback from leaders and scout families who have schedule conflicts with the first half of our meeting today due to sports or other commitments, so we are going to move some things around.

The meeting will still start at 2:00 PM, but we are going to begin with the picnic, games, and other activities. The only adjustment we're making is to move the graduation ceremony portion of our meeting to 4:15 PM. So, our schedule looks something like this:

1:00-2:00 PM: Setup, start cooking

2:00-4:15 PM: Games, picnic, activities

4:15-5:00 PM: Graduation ceremony

5:00-?? PM: Open time for activities (or head home)

I know that some scouts still have a couple more days of school, while others are already on summer break, so after the graduation ceremony, we'll leave the gaga ball pit and other activities out for scouts and families who want to stick around.

With this schedule change, your scouts do not need to arrive in their Class A shirts, but they should still bring them along for the ceremony. They can arrive in their Class B t-shirts until it's time to begin the ceremony.
