Every single day at Camp we sit and talk with parents of neurodiverse kids.
Every conversation has common threads. You might be shocked if you realized how many parents are on the edge, overwhelmed. We are learning that having a ND child takes over your life. Days are filled with therapy and IEP issues, grateful for the break when their child goes to school, until the worry creeps in over how your child’s day is going…are they being taken care of; are they happy, are they safe, are they being bullied.
It is said that the divorce rate is up near 80% for these families.

Things we cannot do: change any of the above.

What we can do: offer you a break. Time to breathe. A place for your child to socialize. Without stares and without the feeling that you need to explain. You owe no one an explanation.

You need to find your people. And we know where they are.

Join us on Wednesday if you have a teen or young adult who needs this. We are committed to creating a place where everyone can get a break, even if it’s only for a few hours every day.

We need your input or this will not work! If you can’t make it this Wednesday, message us. We want to hear from you.

Camp 1315 has become like home to so many families. Sometimes the kids play hard, and sometimes they play chess. Sometimes it’s a free for all, and sometimes it’s calm. We are a place where everyone gets what they need, and everyone leaves feeling lighter than when they came in. You are not alone💚🧡🩵

We need data in order to present a great case for why we need funding for our Campground/Lodge designed specifically for the neurodivergent/special needs community. We are working hard on putting together the Capital Campaign, and you will probably all agree that this project needs to happen asap! We are willing, but we cannot do it without you!

Well...we wrote our first blog.☺️

Camp 1315 has given us a front row seat to a world we weren't always familiar with-the autism world.

We're NOT experts. We are learning. We are listening. And most importantly, we are getting to know some pretty incredible kids and families along the way.
