Dear community,
We ask that you please clean up after yourselves. I've had many renters coming to me and telling me floors are dirty, food spots have not been wiped up, etc. There was an entire box of old pizza left behind at one point. This is disappointing.
We LOVE that our building is in use so much, this is fantastic. However, it is completely unacceptable for a renter who is only there for 2 hours has to spend an additional 30 minutes cleaning up from the renter before.
We send over our cleaning checklist to every renter for a reason. It is not optional, it is a requirement. It would be very unfortunate if we have to start charging a cleaning fee.

Happy March! We are busy this month - the only weekend days that are available for rentals are Sunday 3/8 and Sunday 3/29, with plenty of weekday availability.

We have made a few updates to our rates!

Here is our current fee structure:

For East Montpelier residents:
Events that are 3 hours or less (non-revenue event) $25
Events that are 3 hours or less (with revenue event) $25 PLUS 10% of revenue
Events that are 3 hours or more (non-revenue) $35
Events that are 3 hours or more (with revenue) $55

For non-residents and non-resident organizations:
Events that are 3 hours or less (non-revenue event) $35
Events that are 3 hours or less (with revenue event) $35 PLUS 10% of revenue
Events that are 3 hours or more (non-revenue) $45
Events that are 3 hours or more (with revenue) $65

Hello to our fabulous community members and renters of the Schoolhouse! I just first wanted to share some love on this Valentine’s Day and express our gratitude for the increase in renters.

However, with this increase there seems to be an increase in folks not cleaning up the space properly, leaving the clean up for the next renters, and unfortunately our renters this morning had to mop the space before their use.

This should not be. Please be respectful to not just our historic space, but the renters coming in after you. Please clean up the space fully and thoroughly, this is part of the agreement.

This was the condition of our floors when our weekly exercise class showed up this morning (the door was also unlocked). Our renters are not responsible for cleaning up from the renters before. You are, and you are also responsible for locking the space when you are done.

Again, we are so grateful but we must maintain certain standards out of respect for the space that we as the board work very hard to maintain, as well as the community members using our space.
