RETIREMENT: 43 Years of Service🔥
Now that its officially official let's show Jesse some serious love and gratitude for servicing the citizens of East Chicago for 43 years!!
đźš’ It's not easy being a firefighter, and it sure isn't easy being a firefighter for 43 years! During his career, this gentleman has helped an untold number of citizens during their worst times, but also during their best times too. Having answered 43 years worth of calls, you have pretty much seen it all! Chief, words can not describe the presence you brought to this department and the kindness you brought to all firefighters on ECFD. You'll forever be the nicest and most respected Chief this department has ever had, you have seen so many new hires going through their probie year to seeing close friends retiring. YOU have seen it all and are an endless source of knowledge for the job. Always ready for a game of bags or having a big breakfast on the weekends, you just wanted your shift to be together and enjoy being at "work" with their brothers/sisters. Not only were you the Chief of 2 turn but you also served as our pension secretary, ensuring that retirees receive their benefits and managed the active members pension benefits as needed. Chief we can go on and on about what you meant to this department, but we'll just keep it simple and say thank you for everything and being a true friend to everyone you ever worked with.
🔥 Local 365 thanks you endlessly for your dedication to the citizens of East Chicago and to the brother/sisterhood of ECFD.
👏 Congratulations to Assistant Chief Jesse Becerra on a much deserved retirement.
